It's crap that the mobo won't run with FSB 400+ in blend stable. I should mod the board.

I using following setup:

E6600
Abit AW9D
2x 1GB Cellshock DDR2 800
2x 7900 GTO

At the moment only the CPU is watercooled. I tested with different RAM settings and voltages, no way! I need some tips from Hipro5 ;) !

Is there any way to rise the fsb on windows with this mobo ? Clockgen doesn't detect it.

Is there someone running a CrossFire without problems ? Should I change any option in bios if I make a CrossFire setup ? (like most sli mobos do).

Mine is freezen at startup and I don't want to think it's a PSU problem...

@raju,

I have been trying to get >400 Orthos Blend stable like you and finally making progress.
What I did:
-Cut off the stock NB HS only and add Swiftech MCX159-CU using 7200RPM 40x20mm fan.
-1.8VMCH and 2.2Vdimm (Failed at this setttings before)
-Ram @ SPD which is 4-4-4-12
Currently Blend stable for >2hrs now at 4.01ghz (401fsb). I will try to go higher and post screenshots later.

well done, the next 2 months should see some interesting new mobo's, let's see how they fare.. ATM the Pro is still my favourite for e6600's and above.

I was able to get orthos 8 hrs stable @439FSB but I used a E6400 L628B. I failed to back screenshot before I reformated and set up for P5B. I'll move the chip back to it this weekend. Looks as though the 400FSB + issue is with conroe's.:(

Anyone has gotten the bass management working with dolby live digital out? LFE works with 5.1 material and if i click sub in audio io page bass makes sound but the bass management "send all bass to subwoofer" does nothing. I have tried many realtek drivers and driver cleaners with no luck.

IF you bench Super-Pi, go into registry and make the LargeSystemCache=0 instead of 1 which must be right now......Or go to "my computer" and change it from there so as to be "for programs" and not "for system cache".....:)

I suggest that you can try to have a fan to blow the northbridge.. since the cooler of your cpu is water cooling. :)

Sorry, but I already have a 120mm fan blowing on the NB! :p: No way, NB is cool but still problems in ortho. Also I can't boot over 425 MHz FSB, just blackscreen. If I overclock in Windows, I can got up to 445 MHz! Very strange!

Just out of couriosity, all of you that have problems over 400MHz fsb, work with 7900x2......Could you try to test with another VGA or even PCI VGA to see what will happen....:confused:

Hmm, I use 2 7900GTO cards, but I will test with an old PCI VGA card. Hope this will help me to find the problem. But it's also bad if my new cards won't work.

Hi George.I tried with only one of the two 7800 I have and nothing changed.Unfortunately I don't have another VGA to test it.

I have noticed a little problem with 3 hd and the raid on ich7...i have 2x36GB WD Raptor 8MB and 1x250GB Maxtor SATA 16MB...i have connected the 2 raptor to sata ports 1-3, in the bios "Integrated Peripherals"-->On-Chip IDE Device" i set "On-Chip SATA Mode" = RAID and "SATA Raid ROM" = Enabled...

....all ok, i reboot and creat array in intel matrix bios with the 2 raptor

after created raid array, i connected the 250GB Maxtor to sata port 2 but the boot firm to detecting ide device and not continue :slapass: ....only after reset cmos the boot is completed but just to next reboot oh the system, the problem is repeted.....

if i disconnected from ports 2-4 of the ich7 or connected the 250GB on silicon controller, all works fine....have i wrong something? :confused:

i just got this board up and running yesterday and my first impression is all positive. i am getting better results on my 6700 than on the p5w-dh i poreviously had, currently at 3.6g and rising so all is good.

only one problem i had is i was looking to run 4 x Raptors in RAID 0, but one of them that i bought is DOA, gutted, still being swapped out Tuesday so should be all good.

Shark 2 - i have also noticed the 3 HDD problem you are getting i found if i swapped the 3rd drive to the other header it was fine, cant remember the number of the headers but it works
