there is a risk that clockgen has the same problem. (source: franck)
The reason is the following : the FSB is computed from a clock named vc0, divided by a coefficient.
In this case, it is :
vc0 = 800
coeff = 4
FSB = vc0/coeff = 200MHz.

Now, vc0 can only go up to 1280. That means, with the coeff 4, 1280/4 = 320MHz, this is the max FSB.
To raise the FSB, it should be necessary to change the coeff, for example to 3. But I can't do that on the fly, there is a risk it freezes.

so 320x13 would mean 4160mhz.

I talked with my contact and he is talking with aopen about this. Mayb if the vco or coeff can get higher (standaard) we can achieve more mhz.

Gamer thank you for running the dual pi bench's. Would anyone out there that is ocing be willing to do a 3gig single and then dual bench?

Because not everyone buys a pc just for benching or can afford a bench and daily so it would just be nice to see how it compares to other dual cores on the market. It would just be a nice comparison and wouldn't take more then a few minutes to do.
