Does the pump/block make any discernible noise aok?? and can you keep the 120 fan @ low even during high OC's ?? :)

Also do you need another fan to cool you fets that a normal HSF would do

i was thinking of getting the aquagate mini r120 too, but never try water cooling before so i'm a bit paranoid. i'm also concern about the noise of the pump. please give us a mini personal review on this water cooler :). thanks mate.

The pump is almost dead quiet, i can just hear a slight whine but it gets blocked out by the HDD anyway once it spins up. I can keep the fan on low RPMS up to about 1.7v in mine loaded. Definately the quietest cooler i have ever used :woot:

The fan is a screamer when you rev it up but until then its is dead silent, if you have a lanboy, you can actually mount it behind the front fan if you remove the HDD cage, thats what i did and it gets nice fresh air :)

The mosfet area seems to do fine with the aquagate mini, though i still have a fan blowing over the ram as its BH-5 but the big heatsinks on the mosfets and the heatpipe cooler seem to keep everything cool already :toast:

i need a better 939 AGP based board. grr anyone got any suggestions.

well also for me in my bios i got two cpu voltage settings? one says CPU start up value and the second says CPU VID control they both go up to 1.55v then ofcourse theres the setting with the %... so right now im only using the cpu start up 1.55v and the 1.04% the CPU VID Control is still set to auto.. i thnk this may be why im stuck at 1.45v... anyone?

wow perc is that voltage setting 100% stable ?

2.7ghz @ 1.45 i say thats damn good.

im sitting at 2650 right now but i have to run the voltage up to 1.6v in order for it to be prime and pi stable. im gunna run like this the rest of the nite and tommorrow ill see if anything has changed.

i can go up to 2.75 but prime95 randomly fails.... but my HTT limit on this p.o.s. NEO2 is around 275 from the testing i did with my newcastle.
drop the cpu to 6x drop the memory to 100mhz and crank the HTT it peaked at like 275mhz which only made the cpu like 2ghz or less.

looks like 1T problem is a goner from another user's test at i4memory but still need to confirm with someone experience...fark i might need to break out my :banana::banana::banana::banana: and start testing with stock everything damn it....hurry up with that lunch already

man you really got me thinking of getting this aquagate mini now :). you said that you mount the radiator in the front where the hard drive bracket is. is that correct and how do you do that and still have room for the hard drive? i'm thinking of mounting the rad on the back. i also have 1 concern with the aquagate and that's if after 2 years, i want to refill the pump. how the hack am i going to do that? it would be awesome to mount the rad outside of the case in the back. if you don't mind, could you post some pics of your case? thanks bro.

I think he did it like mine,look above the rad there's just has enough room for one HD.

Sorry dont have any pics atm, if you had to fill it after 2 years then thats nothing, just pop the filler plug, drain it out and fill it up again, easier than filling a car radiator. I did it similar to the other one pictured except i removed the cage comepletely and used the 2 floppydrive bays for HDD's instead :toast: using a front intake method, it will beat any air cooler on the market since its using external air to remove heat.

If the pump is not fitted behind the radiator (using a diff. settup than the aquagate mini) you could still use the fan from the rad to cool your HDD's :), also I did'nt think these coolers were so inexpensive, I would'nt mind one for myself

Theres quite a few places the pump can fit, mainly behind the drive bays i think :toast: but i must say i like the aquagate mini, it doesnt beat the big watercoolers but for $115 AUSD, its a steal. Not to mention you dont have to fill it :fact:

I am still more than happy with my XP120 but if the aquagate mini had been available when I bought the XP120 it certainly could have changed my choise :) , BTW orig3n thanks for your time explaining so well this excellent product :toast:

thanks for the picture bro :). i have another question. since the rad is mounted in the front. are you blowing or sucking air(into or away respectively) from the rad? also where is the fan mounted? the reason for this is that if you mount it in front and have the fan in front of the rad and blowing air into the rad. wouldn't you then be blowing hot air from the rad into your case? i think it would be better to suck hot air from the rad to outside away from the case. if i get this aquagate mini, i'll probably mount it in the back on the outside and sucking hot air from the rad away from the case. i think it's also better to mount the rad outside since it'll get really hot. if it's inside, it's like having a hot heatsink inside your case. i hope i make sense here :).

Fans on radiators, when in the front of the case for intake, are usually pulling air from outside the case, through the rad, and into the case. It isn't hot air. If the air coming out of a radiator is hot, then something is wrong. Remember, water temps are supposed to be barely above ambient.

i suggest we put rock solid stable 24/7 speed in our sig and not just for show speed where only 1 pass of 1M superpi. I get jealous whenever someone post 2.9Ghz or above :). btw, i'm searching froogle for the cheapest price on the aquagate mini r120. i was going to get the zalman cnps 9500, but i might end up getting this aquagate :). my only other concern is pump failure :(.

i would say before you get too derailed on watercooling here, check out the watercooling section at XS some more and see if this aquagate is mentioned much. See what Maxxx_Racer thinks of it. I personally wouldn't get watercooling unless it had a dual 120mm radiator or more.

SrJabardo, at least a few people can get prime stable at those clocks, so you mention 2.92 Ghz i thought it was at least slightly stable.
