Yeah... just gotta find a splitter.
Keep us posted-would like to know how this works. 2 boards on 1 power supply would be not bad at all:up:
Not bad really, pretty much in line with buying cables from anywhere else. Figure there are 48 wires, each 12" long, so 48 feet of wire, plus plugs, plus pins, and all the work putting it together... really isn't all that bad when you sit down and think about it :D
I also got a 6pin PCIe to 8 pin EPS adapter from those guys too, since I'll need another one and won't be putting a graphics card in this one sammy anymore - all after I kill and bring that board back to life from modding the x8 PCIe slot :ROTF:
so if we managed to get 2 dual sammy boards into one case we could use a single psu for 8 low consuming cores? ( despite MM´s piece of advice )
That's what I aim to find out
Does anyone have another 1GB stick of ECC DDR2 for this system? Just as I want to upgrade from 1GB my retailer stops selling the sticks I need
here you go :

That is my local retailer and they're out of stock ;)
I'll check my stock when I get home I have some 1gb sticks
Normally I agree with your reservations about running multiple computers off a single PSU, but in the case of a Sammy, it's probably cheaper and more efficient to run multiple sammies off a single PSU. Most PSUs aren't hitting max efficiency until around 50% load or higher, and at 100 watts a piece, a nice 400-450 watt PSU (eg Corsair VX450 or CX400) could easily handle 2-3 Sammies without breaking a sweat.
The down side is that, as far as I know, turning one off would turn them all off, and turning one on would turn them all on.
Eller
I believe a slot in my board is bad/not recognizing memory- I have 2 2gb sticks in there and it is only listing 2 gb total. This is the second set of memory so I don't think it's the sticks- I have them in the first two slots which others can I try them in?
Thank you very much
