My 24/7 setup is 3.2GHz (400 x 8) with E6600. I have 2GB Corsair PC6400C5 at 4-4-4-12 and a Scythe Ninja Rev B. It is stable as a rock. Just for the sake of standard testing I did a 12hr orthos and it passed. 42C idle (C1E and EIST off) and 62C in Orthos.

Vcore: default (1.35V in uguru)
Vmem: 1.9V
Vmch: 1.65V

orthos beta's blend test give me a "Hardware Detect Failure" after 3 secods....all other modality of orthos works well....someone has suggestions? :confused:

all right. i've measured the vfsb and found it to be at 1.20-1.21.

i've done the vfsb mod and is now at 1.37.

i'm gonna see if this gains me stability at 411 fsb.

Wait till someone actually releases a 975 board that can run 400+ fsb othos stable as the norm not the exception. if you read some of the threads here you will see that most people cant run 400+ fsb othos stable on any 975 board!

well 411-412 is a no go on orthos blend :(

it keeps erroring out at 3 minutes 53-57 seconds. tried about 10 times with different vcore, vdimm, vmch, vfsb.

oh well.

so i'm trying 10 x 370 now.

vcore 1.525
vdimm 2.20
vmch 1.75
vfsb 1.30

and it's running orthos blend for 30 minutes. so far so good. :)

vmch booster mod + vfsb mod seem to help out. i couldn't do 3.7 yesterday w/o blue screening.

i tried the blend test to 400*8, 400*6, 389*9, 378*9 and 356*9 with E6600...with all vmch, vcore and vdimm...nothing

....the error says "Hardware Detct Failure" and immediately, after 3 seconds and not that the system doesn't resist :confused:

with system default all on auto also in uguru section the blend test works normally :slapass: :confused:

...some other valid software to test the general stability on conroe? :)

I've been following this thread since I am very interested in this board. I own a MSI 975 which is probably the worst of all conroe boards. I've ran orthos stable at 3.6ghz for about 9 hours and at 1.5vcore, but if I go up to 3.7ghz, and max out every vcore possible I also get an error after about 3 seconds of blend. Every other test is supposedly stable, and after a good 4 hours of a battlefield2142 on my offday binge, it never froze or locked up etc. Weird indeed

I did some testings on air ..... I wonder why you guys can't reach high in Orthos blend test......:(

I bumped up to 441MHz and after an hour, I gave some more.....451MHz fsb seems to be OK....One hour running.......when I find some time I'll test for more......
Maybe you must check your Ram timings or something like that.....:confused:

Is there any program that can measure subzero temps?μGURU shows 0C and CoreTemp shows Core0:7C
Core1:8C as long I work my cpu at subzero temps.

Nothing special.......Just wanted to see the fsb and I had put them at Cas 4-4-4-12......VMCH = 1.87V real, Vfsb moded at 1.55Volts(for everyday use/light benches) and Vdimm as low as 2.66Vdimm for everyday use....I think that the Northbridge with all these "high" voltages, does quite well......and CPU at 70*C+ due to luck of a heatsink.....Container was just "placed" on it, without even screw it so as to make a good contact with pressure on the CPU......;)

i tried vmch 1.8, vfsb 1.45, vdimm 2.3 with 4-4-4-12 timings.

when i get home, i'll try 1.87 (i've done the vmch booster mod), vfsb i'll try 1.55 and vdimm 2.5.

High?......I play under cascade > VCore=2Volts (I have OVP at 2.04Volts), VMCH=2.05 to 2.1Volts, Vfsb 1.7Volts to 1.85Volts and Vdimm=2.66Voltsto 2.85Volts.....
I think that those volts are OK for aircooling....I think so though......:)

i should have said... aren't they high for aircooling! :P

it's the 9x multi that's tricky to get Orthos blend stable anwhere over 400-410fsb.

Who here runs their E6600 on the 7X or 8X multi for 24/7 use?
I don't that's for sure.

Yes but we're talking about max stable fsb here and not max stable frequency........Maybe the CPU isn't stable and produces errors at higher frequencies, so the user thinks that the mobo's fsb can't do it......One of the guys with an 6600 should run a Prime-Orthos Blend with lower multi so as to see IF it's his CPU that cuts him down or the fsb itshelf.......In the other hand we HAVE to consider that NOT all of the CPUs can reach high fsbs nor all of the Northbridge chipsets......Each one does it's own.....;)

In my case the cpu is capable of more than this motherboard allows. Even with cas 5 no go. Still I can game at 420fsb, but Orthos bogs out early. Same cpu with all same hardware 425fsb Orthos blend stable on another motherboard without mods..
