Retail Launch

So when is the Retail launch? I've been looking around and only see OEM's for sale. I really getting annoyed with this crap. 1st it was the 7/27, then 8/7 now 8/16, whats next 9/1?

Last Question is will i be able to buy a Retail E6300 at $200 on Launch Date?

Your could have bought all last week. However price is more like $219.

I am getting a bit concerned, the 6600 does not come up when you search for conroe processors, and the link to the Retail 6600's part number no longer exists.

I'm not real concerned, because I still haven't decided on a mb yet, and will probably wait for an ATI and NVIDIA boards to come on the market before deciding, but I am still caught up in this Conroe madness!

I would call and ask, they open soon. The e6600 and e6700's retails seem to be very hard to find atm.

Did they call you on Friday? I got a call about my 6700 order on Friday and they said that both the 6600 and 6700 didn't come in, which doesn't fit with their "in stock but can't ship b/c of intel" story. Here's what I posted a few pages back:

I ordered a retail e6700 on 7/27. ClubIT said it was in stock, but could not be shipped until the 7th due to Intel's rules. They maintained this story up until Friday the 4th. On Friday, I got a phone call from them saying that they only received OEM e6700s from Intel and that retail e6700s have been delayed. They won't be shipping me anything on Monday. So obviously, they never actually had the retail e6700 in stock despite what they said on the phone and on their website.

I talked to Clubit Fri. They said IF the 6600's com in (they were enroute) they would ship them on the 7th. Why did they say they wer in stock if they weren't??

YES I called micro center here in Troy, Michigan and they have a E6700!!!! In stock but just 1. It's OEM but I do not care! It's there for ME. I'm going to pick it NOW. No waiting. Can you believe it A retail store has them before ZZF or even NewEgg?

Nope, no call on Friday. I e-mailed their cust service earlier and am waiting for a response. It would not bode well for earning my customer loyalty if ClubIT did not actually have the 6600's to ship...they said they had them all in their warehouse and that every chip ordered was in their posession. Say what you want about the egg, at least they are not selling promises.

Microcenter had X6800's before everyone else...OEM's for $1300 unfortunately. :-/

Hope you're not getting taken for a ride on the price.

Yeah this is what blows my freaking mind...I was in the chat with newegg already today and they maintain the story of "they have no expected date".

That's right. The chips were listed as "In Stock", and they said that the chips were in their posession, but that they would not ship until August 7.

newegg has ETA: 2006-08-08 14:45:00 listed for its Yonah processors - maybe that is when they will be getting a huge shipment from intel?
