So I gues the best bios for the ds3 for the highest fsb`s possible is currently the F3 bios from Gigabyte`s webpage ?
F4c is the preferred DS3 BIOS right now.
and why is that ? :)
How come CPU-Z still reads the F4C as F1 bios even though I have updated to them?
Mine did that when I flashed to F3. I then used @BIOS to flash to F4c and CPU-Z showed it correctly. YMMV.Quote:

A few other guy`s and me have hexedited this bios, it`s definitely for the ds3. I`m gonna try this tomorow :DQuote:

With all this flashing is no one worried about it going wrong and wrecking the board especially when it doesnt have a removable bios?
Higher ratios seems to be a physical impossiblity it seems or they would have implemented it by now
doesn't this board have a dual bios
You have a not so nice sign for reading mr dinos22 :)

The fsb 481 @3.84GHz. SuperPI 1M can passed at 15.2sec. But I'm worry about it's too slow for 3.8GHz. cpu  .
The max clock speed is 3.91GHz. but it's can't pass any tests. :p: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=111750
When I'm ruduce multiplier to 7x it's can increase the fsb up to 490 :D
This is the first Gigabyte mobo which I like!

things are definately looking up for this board. i switched from a 6400 to a 6600 and now the board is playing much nicer. using the f4e bios.
just with playing around. i was able to hit 3.7 with everything set at AUTO. only disable the USB legacy setting. i was getting too greedy and tryed for 3.8 and it froze big time. this was all done using the win app.
the only crazy this is when i set it at something like 2.9 or so i get a Super PI (16) of about 18 secs. but at 3.7 it got alot worse. like 25 - 27 secs. and the temps get ridiculous.
question here is does this thing not like nvidia cards. cuz i cant do crap with my 6800gt's but better result with a 6200. guess ill search the forums for a good x18 or x19 for sale.
Check its not throttling, Dubz..
i think i may be missing something. i dont see anything in the bios about throttling. i am using the f4e bios.Quote:
