wow , we've beaten Easynews .
:up::clap:
one colour or another seems to be a good place to be so choose your favourite from these
Unless you want the less common ones
Ok so MM stands for??? ......Mr Magoo??? (and with telephone )
The grey background whilst kinder on the eyes does limit what works with colors though. I guess you've been around long enough not to comment on the colours/colors sp. too but I usually stick with what I was taught over here

another nice day :yepp: slipped in at number 4
XtremeSystems 7,340,554
:up::up::up::up::up::up::clap: Good day guys and ladies!
Unless I miscounted thats five days in a row over 7 million!
Got to toss this in, not even a full 24 hour day on the EVGA SR2 rig:
Statistics
Date... Total Run Time(y:d:h:m:s)..... Points Generated Results Returned
4/8/10..... 0:023:04:59:35...................... 100,672............. 311
The killer to me is the 311 results returned. Running HCC and doing a WU in app 1 hour 40 mins, 24 at a time
I think your monster machine has inspired people to squeeze a little bit more work out. I can't think of any other reason since last month we were doing a million points less per day. Go team!
XtremeSystems 7,128,842
Damn I am really liking this purple run we are having. Way to go everyone!
XtremeSystems 6,870,488
Ok, whose slacking?
That would be me I was gone all day and windows locked up :O hasn't been crunching since about 1pm.
and me my pc was down for some time cause i needed to make my room empty, iam making a new desk :) its 3.20 in length and its 0.80 deep so a nice big desk :) only need to coat it then iam done :)
green :)

:up::up::up::up::up::up::up:
Geez, makes me feel liek a slacker only contributing like 1000 points a day heh.
If it wasn't for so many people contributing 1000 a day, the score wouldn't even be close to 7 mil.
True dat. The "pie gang" only does around 2-2,5 million a day, the other 200 active crunchers make for the main production.
XtremeSystems 7,233,653
Weeeeeeeee!! :yepp:
I can't wait to see our numbers over the next few days, with the influx of all the new blood we might be at 8mil faster than I thought possible.
Ah I see my typo now :D
XtremeSystems 7,256,945
Great work everyone :toast:
I bet we start to see some nice increases tomorrow as results start to get validated from all our new friends.
:welcome: to all of you
hot damn!
Good job newbies, keep going! :p:
wow! 286 users returning work! :rocker:
here you go :
https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.or...do?sort=points
Grazi.
Looks like we have a bit of work if we're to catch that Japanese team
I'll load up the Clarkdale HTPC as well which just sleeps 99.9% of its life anyway.
Beating Team2CH was never our goal , they're just too big (11,822 members )
Doing better than Easynews was our goal.
Trust me , this looked like an impossible task 2 years ago.
Now we're there ! :D
It will only get better.:D
XtremeSystems 7,888,620
Thanks to all our new friends (some we already know well) we have posted up seriously good numbers ... this places us number two for the day
I am sure we will break 8m tomorrow (it will be a team best ever score) with lots more to come during our "Super Computer" challenge.
XtremeSystems rocks. Thanks to everyone who pulled this challenge together, all our fantastic crunchers, seasoned veteran and n00bs alike. I would be remiss if I did not give a shout out to DDTung ... the super grand daddy of all crunching. Finally I feel a great need make sure we do not forget special recognition to Fugger for providing us with this fantastic playground we all get to meet in.
I am humbled by you all :worship:
(8m is green correct?)
Wow to think that when I joined the team 6mil was a good day and here we are about to top 8mil.
Way to go team. Thanks to all the new people. Let's keep it up.
That's right.
That image should be sent to the dude's dad who laughed at us being able to keep up with IBM. Way to go team :clap::clap:
Well 80% of the work I handed back over the last 24 hours is still "pending validation" what is the usual delay for this?
Also I noticed that almost all of my validated work units are being seriously marked down ie for one unit: points claimed 273 points granted 197....
Is this normal?
Answers on a postcard :D
ps. should get another 8 cores eating work tomorrow :)
Managed to get a Phenom II X4 955 online with WCG last night finally after doing some stability testing work with its OC. It's a dud chip that I use for DI and maxes at about 3.5GHz on air. Tried out an old de-IHS'd Athlon X2 5000+ that a friend had screwed up by slicing into one of the SMD caps on top. It crackled, so no joy on that one crunching. Tonight I'm going to bust out the Pentium Pro 180 for giggles.
Looks like the XS train is pulling out the station and building up steam...
Yup and I have my crunch farm growing and growing.... :-)
Gazing into my crystal ball, I see the number EIGHT today.
http://go2.wordpress.com/?id=725X134...rystal-ball%2F
And the number 9 should appear quite fastly i think
People on the other teams are probably looking at the stats and thinking "W.........T..............F..........?"
At 18:00 UTC today BOINStats showed us at 8.2 m for the previous 24 hours so I think by the time WCG rolls the stats tonight (it usually finishes posting about 1:00 - 1:30 UTC) we will be at least that high and likely quite a bit more
As for them saying WTF ... likely not so much. While we produce a lot with a comparatively small number of PCs our contribution is still only in the single digit percentage of the whole.
I took a look at IBM stats a little closer and for those of us thinking we are already kicking their ascii, think again. They have about 100 different teams worldwide and pull more RAC and total points than we do so lets get the final numbers straight before we start throwing that in their faces
Cheers to IBM for providing and running the data center, techs to keep it all running smooth and stable, and their actual crunching contributions
Yes, it's true that IBM could beat us if they combined all their teams into one. But think about this. A giant corporation vs. a group of enthusiasts who buy their own hardware. Most of the corporate and educational teams are using company-bought or university-bought hardware.
also a point to make you you crazed overclockers.
My SR2 rig runs fine at 4152..
Last night I cranked it up to 4300+ before I went to bed.
Woke up to a bluescreen..Cost me 40,000 points today..
It's a distance race, not a sprint and sometimes a little lower clock is the best way to go.
Gets GREEN magic marker ready..:wasntme:
XtremeSystems 8,449,656
:woot: and the march is on ... bring it :woot:
green is the new purple ... what is 9m?
That. Is. Awesome.
:party::party::YIPPIE::party::party:
Great job everyone. And a special thanks to all the new team members. Without your help, we wouldn't have achieved this.
Woohoo!
I wonder what tomorrow will bring ? :D
12 cores / 16 threads say higher ;)
This is nuts, but I'm not complaining! Thanks again to all of the new team members!
What is the magic color of 9 mil? I say we reserve yellow of 10 mil since its like gold:D
Red would be good for 10 mil. I was truly shocked by today's number. I was expecting maybe 8.1 to get home and see 8.4 mil just wow. And with out Daves Sr2. Awesome job every one lets hit 10 mil before the first! :YIPPIE::toast::rocker::toast:
We already used red for 5/6 mil :(
Dang, Dave that rig is ridiculous. And still 40k is alot.
We used blue for 6mil? And we could just use red every 5 mil :D so 15mil would be red and so would 20.
How about RAINBOW darlings it's FABULOUS!
... but you looked so dainty in that tu-tu! :shakes:
:shakes:
I've always liked graphs that slope upwards.:D Results returned are way up, partly because the HCC work units are shorter now and many here are crunching that project.
I'll probably be getting more & more points :D
Thinking about finally setting up my fileserver and make it crunch too, still have to install it on my gf's pc.
Thats nuckin futs! I will have 3 more PC's up and running this weekend so I will have 7 total going  I want to see us hit 10 mil!
Think I'll be working on both pc's this weekend to see how high they can go for 24/7 crunching. :D
Mine's sort of at my limit in terms of temperature, 72°C hottest core @ 3.9 GHz
That is the plan and hope, just takes maybe 30-40,000 people from Xs to make it happen.
I've had some people toss numbers at me and say it's not possible but they are the people that see the glass as 1/2 empty while I know for a fact that XS has the power to fill that glass till it overflows!:D
Unleash the beast!
WCG manager estimates 56 hours for my PPro's first WU. Does that even meet the general deadline?
Most WCG subproject WUs have a 10 day deadline, I think HCMD2 may have been upped to 14 days so you should be fine.
At 18:00 UTC today BOINStats showed us at 9.01 m for the previous 24 hours so I think by the time WCG rolls the stats tonight (it usually finishes posting about 1:00 - 1:30 UTC) we will be at least that high and likely a bit more. We need a definative answer to the "what color is number 9" ... graphemes please report in <j/k>
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synesth...-simner2005-20
"many synesthetes themselves do not perceive their synesthetic experiences as a handicap. To the contrary, most report it as a gift—an additional "hidden" sense—something they would not want to miss"
perhaps we could use the most common number/ color scale amongst grapheme perception as our scale.
Is there anyway to view our team stats by member? By that I mean can we see a list of members and see how we rank amongst ourselves? Maybe get a little competition going. ; )
http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?p...bwcg&team=8674
Appears to be down at the moment...
