monarch is the greatest etailer there ever was :). they're first inline for every new releases, woot. that's why i cancelled my order with them and pre-ordered me an ADA3500BNBOX from sparco. monarch, sparco, or whoever etailers you're ordering from, the cpu is coming from one place and one place only, ingram micro. i got a 3200+ to play for now, so i don't care about waiting anymore. when it comes it comes. time to relax and play some games :).

Everyone should cancel their venice and SD orders and not place them for 1 week after they become available - sorta returning the favor for what is going on out there.....

Monarch are launch partners with AMD. That is why they will have the processors first. What exactly is your beef with monarch anyways? So the decision point is between the 3800+ Venice (x12) and the 3700+Sandiego (x11). With the target of 250Mhz memory bus for 4x512M sticks, and given either chip will do 3.0Ghz+ with good cooling....
Would it be better to get 3800+ and go 250 x12 or 3700+ for 250 x11 with the bigger L2 cache? Or can the whole HTT vs memory-Mhz be fiddle with a divider to have 250Mhz memorybus, and still do say 300Mhz-HTT x10 for 3Ghz on the 3700+?
Not having a A64 to fiddle with Im not sure what is actually doable.
If a divider is viable, then why do they even bother "locking" the multiplier....since you can get around the limitations....what am I missing?
Btw, the latest from MonarchJoe is they expect to have all oem rev e chips by end of next week. Supposedly they've shipped from Singapore today. He says it usually takes 6 days from there to here. Wait's almost over folks.
