500fsb with your 9x multi 6600 is performing so bad?

That'll give you up to 4.5ghz to play with on a 6600. I have yet to see someone use a 6600 24/7 over 4.2-4.4ghz and with your air cooling you arent going to get better than 3.9ghz and thats even if your particular cpu is capable.

Its async as you said so you can run your memory as high or as low as you want so whats your beef with the fsb constraints. The only people that can be disappointed with fsb are 6400 and 6300 users with sufficient cooling to run their cpus at high 24/7 ocs.

500fsb stable is no small feat. Many 965 boards can hit this super pi 1m, some a little more. But 24/7 500fsb is way cool. More than enough for all users with air and water. Anyone using phase should not even have anything less than an e6600, if they have any common sense.

I haven't followed this thread for some time and Im wondering if there have been any 4x1Gb ram testing? :D

After many benches and suggestions, i think the Asus Motherboards are Nr.1 and DFI are Nr.2 (i thought DFI would be the best board, i thought wrong) :(

Depends on your expectations...not to mention the RD isn't even in the hands of any consumers yet....

In light of what's currently going on with DFI...tech support chaos and the failed launch of the RD600 ...looks like they have some major things that they need to sort out.
I thought that Travis'/AG's/HG's review of the RD600 based board was quite interesting and was a review that had the customers wallet in mind as opposed to the company's bottom line in mind.

DFI are only hurting themselves (enthusiast branch of the company) by continuing to delay the release of this board. More and more people are giving up on this board and completing their builds with other makers boards.

One has to wonder...what is DFI thinking???

It works fine, as far as overclocking 4x1GB, those numbers will be up next week. ;)

This board has been promised and promised. Unitl I see this thing for sale in quantity, as far as I'm concerned it's vaporware.:mad:

I guess RGone and Travis were not seeing things the same way

I just got a nice prixe on the BX2 and I pulled the trigger... Good luck guys I hope that the DFI will prove to be worth the long wait. :)

sorry if this has been asked what does this mobo clock like with the quad cores?

Does it have a 300 FSB limit like the 680i with quad?

Yes but i have changed my opinion after i have read the post of HG at DFI-Streets (Forum is closed for a while). HG have said his opinion about the RD600 (he had made a lot of benches).

Lets not get into the negative of one disgruntled DFI employee's opinion...as that is all that it was. Wait until Joe consumer (me and others like me) get the board and we have lots of benchies to compare before throwing out the notion of buying this board.
