Nom nom nom..... we like lime pie! :D
I'll probably lose pie tomorrow :(
Have to shut off two crunchers as we have family staying over.
:woot: :woot:
Ya there's the key lime pie!!!
300k for pie @_@
Wow. Just a little more for 1 million for top pie.
I am amazed OldChap how are you managing that score of over 4M points.
Could you please tell me how many CPUs and how many GPUs do you use and what model.
Not sure he can give you all that info
Might check out this thread. Turns out he's been a major team player for the last while, and some people got together to, ah, pitch in for a bit.
I think it may be Magic Eta, I came home from work one day and found that the rigs I have running WCG had suddenly multiplied. :D
My own small part in this is just 2600K, 3770K x2, 5870 x4, 5850, 7950, for a total of maybe 200K Boinc.
Apparently my help in organising some stuff for folks needing badges and some similar stuff made them think (erroneously) I should be repaid. Not so, but this HAS been a bit of fun for us all this week.
My new rig "Spiders" will be delayed due to expenditure on gpu.
The remainder of the answer (as best I can give it) will have to wait until Free-DC is back to normal
EDIT: I CAN tell you there are 31 rigs showing in My Grid :ROTF:
This will give you an idea of what he is running. http://boincstats.com/en/stats/15/ho...t/0/0/596475/1
Hey ... Who needs a store when you have friends like XS!
The guys on this team are just ridiculous some times... I mean seriously who in their right mind sells computer parts at half price to people they've never met? or goes out of their way to fix someone else's computer problems? Or gives away hundreds of dollars worth of hardware just because...
Well, now that I think about it, I might have just figured it out... I think it has something to do with that "right mind" bit...
and where else do you need close to a million WCG points just to get into a siuation where you can have a few pie crumbs after dinner!
Damn, I'm getting skinny lately from pie depravation! :D
OK everything back up and running. Hopefully I can take back some pie before this week is over!
Wow! Nice work all the way around:
Almost a million/day for cherry
Almost 300k/day for brown pie
Yes! Back in the game :D
My average has quadrupled since the GPU stuff took off, and now I'm even farther away from getting a sliver of pie :lol2:
I gave up looking at this thread long ago..
Today to get pie I'd need to borg MIT,Harvard and maybe Boston College and thats just for arse pie!..
Holy crap! Ass pie is now almost double what cherry was ONE MONTH AGO!!
The real question is. Can SAM hit 1mil Boinc points for tomorrow to cap off the week?
Sumptin' looks strange!
im sad i couldn't contribute the same amount for the last day of scw and also that i missed pie for the last day .. nothing i could do about it unfortunately.
I had a power failure for 6 hrs yesterday. Apparently a sub station somewhere down the road blew up :(
But this was one heck of a awesome week Team XS.. One heck of a week :)
Something is really weird with those numbers.
And all my machines have been running 100%. Where the heck did my points go?
EDIT: just checked WCG page and everything looks normal there and im at 2.1mil for the past 2-3 days...
What I think happenned is the WCG validators had a hiccup for a few hours and had to catch up.
You see this when you compare the BOINC stats page and Free Dc stats page that each use a different 24 hour timeframe.
BOINC stats page shows us down this am but Free DC that is almost times with WCG's timeframe shows us up..
It will all balance out and from what I can see we just might hit 11 million BOINC points today..maybe..:D
Fine i'll try and have patience
Something must be moving the pending validation files. I just went from 19 + pages to only one file on page 1.
Smile Bun-Bun....
I went from 59 pages to 61, so.... :p:
I'm at 1534 pages
Edit:
Just noticed I got my blue globe :D
:eek2:
330 PV here. Up about 100 from yesterday.
154 here and whats a "Blue Globe"????
You mean people like me that put a lot into certain projects get the short end of the stick? For shame..For shame..:(

I think you just need Snurk to make you a sig, this is what he wrote in his first post on the sig
Quote:
What's up with the big shiny globe?? I hear you say, well... I wanted to have some sort of overall badge thing, for all time contribution to the grid. So I came up with the idea to calculate the 'average badge' so to speak. It's the total run time divided by the total project count, that's 17 at this point. That's 34 years needed for a sapphire globe (only 29 years to go for me! sick )
It's an avg I believe, so you might be OK Movie man!
Moral of the story... go request a sig from Snurk movieman :D
The globe color is based run time/project.
edit: follow the link on my sig pic and it'll take you to the stats page.
Movieman,
Thank you very much for organizing the past XS WCG week... You certainly made a difference and achieved outstanding results. My congratulations to you and all XS members that joined in to help.
Followed this link to get to the WCG forum thread : "I made a new forum signature thread".

Cheers,
Jean-Guy
I think my pending validations yesterday was a glitch. Today it's 196 pages.
EDIT:
And I see SAM did make the 1mil goal
Stoneageman,
> 1 milion BOINC points day. Outstanding performance.
Latest INTEL: The US Ballistic Tracking Program (USBTP) satellites are reporting a new and unusual heat source in the British Isles. This type of heat source is normally associated with a Ballistic Missile launch ot the clandestine operation of an atomic reactor. You may wish to put on another pot of tea just in case you get unexpected camouflage visitors rushing into your home.
I missed that when I first looked at it. Awesome job, SAM.:bows:
Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana Nana.... Stonageman!
Nice work!!!! 1 million/day
So, SAM, what do you do with all that pie?
Keep warm
Something tells me SAM's slice of pie is going to stage massive indefinitely :D
BTW, what happened to Sierra_Bound? I know he's in Ecuador now, but he's been completely MIA for a few months.
S_B and Trn are currently working on a secret operation to build the biggest crunching farm ever. Their too busy adding video cards to chat.
Wow, just shows what a FUBAR'ed day yesterday was with the Beta fiasco!
BoincStats might be to blame also, i don't have the same variance in the numbers like they show.
My statistics history, on the my grid page shows almost the same numbers.
Yesterday stats also show our Xtreme reliance on ATI hcc GPU WUs 7.05 to achieve our Xtreme production.
Next Monday or Tuesday will see the introduction of the combined version of these v 7.05 GPU hcc WUs. We should insure that extra monitoring of our crunchers takes place on these two days to avert a prolonged downtime due to a hickup cause by their introduction.
Movieman: If deemed pertinent you could possibly post a message a the top of our board to remind Xtreme Crunchers to do so.
Jean-Guy
I am fighting with my boards to get a stabilized situation. I got the bad surprise of all machines blocked with the change of the 7.05 version and new type betas etc. Lost half a day of crunching. I do not give up, I will get my small piece of cake.:D
Probably Monday.
WTF?!?
Ahhh!. Taste is excellent. That has been a long time since the last meal.:)
Nice points SAM - you deserve it. Let me be the first to congratulate you on taking the number 1 spot from TRN (in what, say about ~10 days?)! :eek2::shock:
trn will always be the No.1 farmer :yepp:
Sam...... oh SAM...... Look what I just found....

You get that.....and I'll have this

Stone, I have read the reviews on that card and if I was still an avid gamer, it would be mine even at the 1k price tag. It doubles the fps on almost all other cards and runs cooler.
It seems that all 7990 boards are out of stock or undeliverable. I would love to put one of these devils at work.
Graet job, SAM.
Keep this up and by the end of the week you are beating Easynews all by yourself.:yepp:
Sam,
Congratulations. on reaching this Xtreme level of BOINC productivity.
I have a feeling that you are shooting for 2,ooo,ooo in the not so distant future ...
10,000,000 WCG points/day is a nice stone to stop at:up:
Oooh!...I just got a chubby!!!
