I was running 1.54v at 2.94 after a 24hr burnin. Originally I was running 1.76v at 3.06 but now I have lowered to 1.68v but I am not sure how stable she is right now with the volts that low so I am going to run some tests and see. She was prime stable at 1.76v (which I didnt get a ss) but I am not sure about now. I am going to run prime again. Also what kind of volts are people running is running 1.76v way to high? For Air...

It looks like its almost resting on the socket but not quite. Its on there tight but I didnt go crank it down or anything.

Right now its about 110 here in Arizona and I have the a/c on 78 and my comp is still running at 32-33c. NICE

1.76V is a lot for air, not something i would try, even with good temps.

Really, I thought if the temps were good then you could go over 1.7v but not to far over.

1.76 is high voltage, and on air it's really high. Most people agree not to go over 1.7 on air cooling. Most likely the chip won't die but over 1.7 is the danger zone. I was only at 1.664 when i did that suicide shot because i don't want to do more voltage until i get my watercooling. Anyway, i was completely unstable at 3015 and when i tried the next setting in clockgen, 302x, it blue screened. However, i am fairly sure it was my memory giving out and not my CPU, as i forgot to loosen my memory timings so my OCZ was doing DDR550 at 2.5-3-3-7 and i have to run 2.5-4-4-8 for those speeds.

That's pretty good on stock volts. You'll be able to increase the voltage with the Big Typhoon and make it fly.

my 0517DPMW on stock voltage, it was stable OCCT at 2700MHz at 1.34V, i just tested two sp2004 at the same time.

OC looks really nice! Volts are really low you may just have to bump it up a little bit.

i have a 3000+ LBBLE 0516DPJW seems i cant boot past 2.5ghz maybe its the mobo anyone else having problems with this stepping?

I had a 0516CPBW that needed 1.5v for 2.4GHz :stick:

And still some people say week 16 is good... at least I know how good they are...

I'll tell you guys that at first I wasnt able to boot at HTT 334 but went back into the bios and changed the tref setting and pow no more bsod's. For some reason I had to change from 2048 to 4672 in order for it to boot. That should tell you something. Its all about the mem timings. At least I think so.

Thanks njkid32, that's really good to know. When i was doing really high HTTs a while ago i would get lots of BSODS, maybe that will help.

Your welcome! Its funny I found a list of tref settings and cant get any of them to work. I tried all of them and bsod's all day. So what I did was lower everything and start in the bios at the first tref setting and worked my way down. When I was able to get into windows I opened A64 Tweaker and looked at the setting. After testing and testing I found that 166 7.8us (4672) was the fastest for my ram but memtest didnt like it. But it only gave a few errors and the funny thing was that windows loved it. That setting made windows more stable. But I am still testing so we will see what the outcome is....

My 3200 0520BPMW will not, under any circumstances go over 290 HTT :mad: , I have tried every bios available with no joy so either it is the mobo, my TCCD or the CPU and after reading your post, maybe Tref, so I will try your advice :)

well folks here's a little update on my adventure in ocing my week 19 3200 venice. I finally decided to run prime95 because previous tests in prime95 failed miserably. This time around I didn't use the regular prime95, but the modified prime95 with the green GO box. I hope you know what I'm talking about. To my surprise this prime95 ran fine for 6+hours at 2850Mhz with mem divider at 180Mhz and vcore of 1.68 as reported by bios. Here's the kicker, i set ldt to 4x so with mem divider my memory is 259 as reported by cpuz. if i do the math right here 259x4x2 = 2072Mhz htt. That's slight over the specs of 2000Mhz htt. i used pretty tight timings for memories. btw, these are g.skill dual channel sticks. I got a screenshot of prime95 and will post when i get home from work. I'm thinking of dropping the vcore down a bit and see what will happen.

Real nice OC sdkevin! What are your temps and is this the limit of your chip or can you go higher? I almost picked one of those up a couple of weeks ago is why I ask.

sdkevin: try to tighten your memory timings, 29s is not bad, but it can be better. i get 29s with 1M superpi with my 3200 venice at 2900Mhz. is this 24/7 stable or just for show?
