They were, newegg had stock for around 10 minutes or so.
Evga.com had stock for something like 6 minutes.
arghhh....people should restraint from buying this card altogether, so that Nvidia lower their ridiculous price >_>. Btw once it hits summer this GTX Titan will crawl on its knees anyway (unless you have the AC on 24/7), I would definitely buy it were it fitted with custom water cooled kit at its asking price.
Think if you're spending $1000 on a single card, H20 would be the logical option.

My answer to Titan and nVidia cracked prices ?
An HD7970's buy :p:
However, dual GPU performance doesn't always seem like single GPU performance:
http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphic...formance-Tools
Articles like thois make me wonder if someone seeking a lower cost Titan alternative would be better off using a watercooled OCd 7970 or 680.
Yes dual is never the same with single. Hey Rollo can your group focus on Titan's price drop?
I dont think I'll be going back to using dual cards anyway. A single 680 is running all the games I play and a lot of them (MMOs) dont support SLI / Xfire.
This will be the first time in 9 generations that I wont upgrade my GPUs, think I'll go ahead and keep this 680 for the rest of its warranty. All I'll be playing atm is Civ V, Path of Exile, DDO and SimCity in a couple of weeks.
People are such suckers...Quote:

whats i remember from test made by LAB501.ro, SLI of GTX 680 was limited till Core i7-3960X was not oced to 5 GHz + and Titan is more powerfull and cpu power hungry then GTX 680. Then i think for real unlimited performance SLI (2x cards) is sufficient CPU at 5 GHz + (5,5 GHz maybe)
For Tr-SLI you need 2x CPU on EVGA dual socket board at 5 GHz i think ....
you need to run 2560+ and sgssa benchmarks to see a real benifit from these cards...usual full HD is CPU-limited very very often...
here are some good ones where sli / 3way look pretty impressive.
Nah there's plenty of recent FPS games out that won't even run at 40 FPS @ 1080p with maxed settings, and 120 hz monitors also benefit from much higher FPS at 1080p.
And you've got to wonder: how much more beating are they going to accept? If nvidia's next card is going to be priced at 1500 are thhey going too get it? What about 2000 hell even 5000? I mean Tesla guys already pay that much, why not gamers? Hell, now that we're at it why not 20000, after all there is few other vendors other than nvidia who can supply you with the stuff named gpu....
...it's depressing really. It was cheap electronics that ushered the era of extreme efficiency called the "information age" (or whatever). If nvidia/Intel/amd decide to keep us in technological dark ages they can and that's depressing to know...
Omg finally someone that understands a little bit about benching these cards... :)
We need 3dvision benchs too...
Oui I wish ivy-ep or whatever it was called would come out sooner then the 3rd or 4th quarter...
That and this titan is a bit higher priced then I wish it was.
I'm currently using all 6 cpu cores in software rendering scenarios, and even in hardware mode it's still mem bandwith limited at 2000mhz with all 6 being used (though a 4c8t cpu would do the trick).
I'm so tempted to pick up a 3770k but there would be times that it wouldn't cut it, but most of the time I could see it being 33-50% faster as long as ht is turned on.
Definitely seeing some cpu and mem bandwidth limits on my system with the 680, checked it out a little last night.
The mem latency is actually the biggest limit I'm running into at the moment.
I just hope this titan thing comes out fast enough, I'm kinda sick of waiting for something that's gonna cost so much lol, I can imagine the lightning might cost $1200.
The only sane reason to buy this card : to make world records in benching and that's about it.
Id have bought it coz it would look nice ... Inside my windowless case :x
But only if it was half the price.
Come on AMD lets see a GIANT chip who cares if it has 2 x 8 pin and runs hot, make a BEEEEEG chip let it cost 650$ and be 20% faster than 7970. Man nvidia dont even have a lead or anything this generation but they have apple like market status its got to be said.
Till I saw titan reviews I was under the assumption that 680 and 7970 are neck and neck ( well they are kinda but also maybe you can see that 7970 NEEDS better drivers and there are many cases of good ATI drivers letting the 7970 wipe the floor with the 680,some reviews I have read claim 680 experience smoother though outright numbers lower than 7970).
Maybe come November this year the last Titans will be sold at 900$~ and then Titan will stop altogether ? make way for 3gb 95% as fast as titan (but clocks real nice lightning editions holding 1400 on air easy like lots of current 680 Lt's hitting 1300 on air)
So 780 3gb will cost 700 on release if they get it out the gate ahead of 89xx.(Dont think nvidia will wait on ATI if they can get it out first, dunno if 6xx series sales still very strong maybe they wait?)
AMDs reply is to release a dual chip 7990 from more AIBs, but there's that article which shows that crossfire it still full of microstutter, and even with higher FPS some games aren't any smoother than a single card.
