you are seeing the correct post screen if you have "B04" bios installed.

3) there is no issues that I have seen with my XFI or USB. It works in any PCI slot. I've tried them all.
4) The IDE controller is the same as what was on the Asus P5B and Commando boards. It's J.micron which is not the best one, but it will work fine, no worries there.
OK, one thing i noticed, i had 3.25gb's in windows before i flashed, now with the new flash i have 3, so i went inside the bios to see if memory remap was enabled.......but its no where in the bios to be found, anyone???? :confused: :confused: :confused:
the pro board does not have that setting in the bios.
i think there is a way to mod the boot.ini to get more memory recognized...why don't you flash back to see if you get back the additional memory...supposedly windows 32 bit is limited to 3gb's of memory or there abouts.
sounds familiar...i do not use 4 Gb's, just 2 Gb's.
you need to go to a 64 bit OS.
you cant use 4gb in XP end of story, all the physical address extensions in the world arent going to make it work.
its nice to have that extra 1+ gb available since windows only see's 3 - 3.2gb.
but then again is the stress on the board needed?
and unless your doing massive video or photo editing ther eisnt a need for more than 2gb.
Yeah. the only problems I've seen with Vista x64 are ones that are tied to Vista universally, not just because it's x64.
Windows XP 64 isn't bad either. To my knowledge most companies have taken care of the driver-related issues. Only problems are with the 16-bit apps or apps that aren't written to work with x64.

my Q6600 is G0 but not very good at OC
at last fixed at 370x9 w/ vcore 1.4525v (Prime95 stable)
DDR2 vol is 2.1v w/ ratio 1:1.5 so they are running at 1100MHz (4x1G Ballistix DDR800, 5-5-5-15)
had to raise MCH vol to 1.41v tho
overall IP35 Pro is a solid board and this thread is the reason i went for it (i basically read all the posts)

OK...So I am a little confused, just got the system up and running, X3220. When not under load my multiplier is dropping from x9 to x6. While running Orthos, it is hitting 3015 but the multi drops to 6 when not loaded???
a question for you guys, what pci-e frequency are you using with this board, and 8800gtx..........in my 680 i was using 125, but i know intel chipsets dont really like the pci-e frequency too high, the sata drives dissapear when you set it to high, and you get corrupt OS as well.........so what settings are you guys using???

In bios go to Advanced Bios Features > Cpu Feature
Set C1E to 'disabled'.
Seems the recommended setup for these features is to disable all, but Execute Disable Bit and possibly Thermal Control.
This should help in theory with Overclocking.

as far as i understand...thermal control is the cpu throttling mechanism...the cpu will automatically shut down when it hit its magical overheating temperature to save itself from melt-down
Hey what are other people getting for fsb on quads. Heres my x3220 B3 at 470, highest ive gotten so far.

I'm highly considering the Abit IP35 Pro for my new build this coming week, I first have some questions:
1) Is this board solid and stable as rock for 24/7 usage even while OC'ing? Just as stable as say Gigabyte's top P35 offering? Or is the board a nightmare (I've had those :eek: )?
2) Are there any bug, flaws, drawbacks or otherwise potentially negative aspects about this board?
3a) How bad is the vdroop in conjunction with a quad-core (OC'ed Q6600)? What about relatively in comparison to the Gigabyte? (I know the ASUS P5K is much better, but it's not an option.)
3b) If it's bad, how much will this limit what? I understand it limits OC'ing potential a bit, but how much in reality? (20 Mhz, 100 Mhz, 500 Mhz?)
4) Is the stock cooling adequate? Even without an extra fan for it and a side-blowing style cooler such as the Ninja or Ultra 120?
I noticed it can't be replace with TR mosfet and chipset aftermarket coolers, will this be an issue at all? (I'm going for a quiet setup.)

cooling is adequate with the current heatpipe...i showed a mod that you can do by removing the heatpipe and then remove current TIM...from there, you can add AS Ceramique...then re-attach it with insulated washer, common nuts and bolts purchased at home depot.Quote:

1. This board has been very stable for me. No problems to report. I've chips overclocked at 3.2, 3.7, and almost 3.8 w/o having any stability issues (after stability testing of course).
2. The LAN runs off of pci rather than pci-e... but i can't find where it states that. Board shuts off then boots up after making any changes in the bios (I MEAN ANY).
3. Vdroop appears to be dependent on the board you receive. Some report practically none, others around 0.03 to 0.04... me, 0.08-0.09! but i did the vdroop mod and it no longer droops at all.
4. Can't help you hear as i do not run this board inside a case but out of the case with my waterblock (no fans) it runs fine.
