Still no problem what so ever !!! So happy finally to have my system rock stable on boot. Soon im gonna have to begin pushing it a little more. So far im at 4.9 ghz/2133mhz rock stable at 1.464v measured by Easy Tune 6. 5Ghz should be doable with my second Scythe S-flex... :p:
interesting so it was RAM related afterall but yeah bit of a pain for you to find out i guess
I can boot with 106 BCLK but I can't run anything besides IE....
INSTANT reboot if I press "start" on prime blend...never seen a crash so much in my life...I wonder if I can run stuff if i set my RAM to 1333 instead of 1600...
New F5 BIOS released 2011/05/10. "Fix S3 wake up issue " + whatever else they changed. Have not tried yet.
Surely that's not with PLL overvoltage, is it? Or is that some other s3 sleep issue? Possibly something from F3 final or F4 or earlier? I'll let someone else try it.....
LOL, I didn’t want to jinx you earlier by saying well done but it looks like you've finally got it sussed  now you can start having fun.

@ Sergio, if he still got his ears on
Nice one with the UD7 BCLK experiment & new RAM kit mate

On another note I just ordered a Z68X-UD5 seeing as how good my P67 UD5 is/has been, I figured I’d stick to the UD5 again..... It will be here in the morning :D Unfortunately I have to go abroad for a few days & won’t have time to play with it until the middle of next week.
Thanks guys, i changed 3 sets of ram until it got going. After i replaced it with the B3 version i observed had the same issues when i was on the B2 and it got me thinking and the only explanation was the ram...
anyone else try this modded F3G bios with hypers, any difference to you guys?
I guess no one is brave enough to test the F5 BIOS and see if there's any changes in vcore stability (F3 final and F4 beta had erratic vcore swings with the 10 levels of LLC) or what that "fixed s3 sleep" meant....
Im still stuck on F3g seems the best for me so far been really stable no reboots / loops unless I cause them.
Ok well since no one else wants to test bioses I guess I have to be the guinea pig...
Found out what "Fix S3" means.
If you S3 with PLL overvoltage enabled, the board turns off after it tries to resume, it reposts from BIOS (this is the only way to enable the CPU register that controls PLL overvoltage), then it restarts windows and says "resuming from hibernation." Really not worth it anyway, as the HD thrashes so much, its no faster than just turning off and on the computer. But at least it doesn't boot loop now...
Still don't like this F5 bios that much because thre are still erratic vcore swings with the multi level LLC.
1.440v BIOS LLC7 gives between 1.452-1.464v idle, 1.452-1.440v load, and sometimes will spike to 1.476 briefly.
hi
Change from UD5 x58 to this setup
running @4.8 with 2500k F5 bios
seems ok some times seem to try and boot a couple of times before it does
but can not find were to disable the spread spectrum (assume it has it)
cheers
Spill the beans Dino plz... I only have the official version running on the B3 board... works fine from 2133 7-7-7 1.7 up to 2200 7-8-7 with GTX2 at 1.72Vcore...
Clocks a little easier (not messed much with the Bclock yet) with the Hypers than the M4E...
I'm having a very annoying problem with my B3 board, tried till now all available (beta) biosses, but at stock clocks the 2600K CPU only clocks up to 3500Mhz
anyone else experienced this... OS seems fine as when I hook up the MSI/ASUS it works up to 3800 single threaded...
played around a little tonight but really didn't run anything but Prime 32m/1024m due to the vcore not sure where the max is couldn't get it to boot in windows on LLC1 so went for LLC2 PLL enabled temps 81c I quit before windows corrupted any suggestions? http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1821330
Guys I just changed the thread name to "Gigabyte P67A & Z68X UD5 Discussion Thread" as I fired my 68 up last night & don’t see a discussion thread.
I haven’t got a lot of tinkering time atm but so far the board runs exactly the same as my 67. I'm still on the shipping BIOS F3 I think & it looks just like the 67 BIOS. It has the 10 level load line thingy & atm I haven’t installed ET6 or found a CPU-Z that works so no idea yet how the vcore voltage runs.
with your 2500K at stock speeds and all bios settings on auto... in eg superpi 32M, how high does the multi go ? 37X ?
Hwinfo32 will show voltages. Either stable release or beta.
Getting my replacement UD5 from RMA today. w00t!
