I have Patriot Viper DDR2 1200 PC2 9600 installed and the I45 really likes it. :yepp:

I have the same 2gb kit (2.3v). I didn't have much success with high fsb... what speed are you running? What RCOMP are you using? Any info as to your voltage settings, GTL refs and overclock with those sticks would be greatly appreciated. I could run 500fsb 4-4-4-12 but was hitting a wall when I tried to go higher.

dual core does best with this board, although FSB on my 9650 was slightly above average...now, i didn't run any 64 bit Linpack;)

pm'd ket he is still working on the bios and I offered to be a beta tester as i have the resourses tofix a flash gone wrong.

hey guys whats the spacinig on the nb on the tpower i45

im not near mine right now.. :(

also does anyone make a vreg cooler for it??

ive seen many people use the enzotech ramsinks for the vregs....

wasnt sure how well that would work

also should i actively cool the sb r is the sink they have sufficient??

im already at 5.5ghz on my e8400 and would like to w/c the chipset before shooting for over 6ghz on DICE

any help would be greatly appreciated

SB historically does not need a lot of volts to function even at high overclocks.

I get No Signal on my monitor with this board. The card worked in my old rig, just been sitting for a few months in my drawer. Anything special with this board? Im thinking its dead and this gives me a reason to splurge on a 4870x2

What do you see on the two 'post led' that on the board (two 7-segments leds) ?
Which beeps do you hear on the speaker that connected to the mother-board ?

Guys, which top voltages are consider safe for this board with air cooling for 24/7 ?
Atm I run it at 500x9 (e8400) and I want to push it a bit more without getting it fried.
(I'm asking about all the Voltages - Vcpu, Vddr2, Vnb/sb, Vfsb).

im using mine volt modded right now, so I'm getting those really fine voltage adjustments, he he. but anyway, for 5ghz on my E8500 (VID= 1.225v) takes 1.8197v the board it'self will do that and more but it overshoots by almost .08v wich is to much imo. vnb 1.4124v vfsb 1.401v vddr 2.3721v micron D9GMH's

stock NB NO FANS I use the cooling bay on the mosfet sink that came with it, and TEC on the cpu but water works to.

I'm having problems on first boot showing a "E1 code" and no post, no image at all
just blank screen and no beeps also.
Tried clear CMOS and swap stix from all over slots and lots of mem combinations

The systems is:
Tpower I45
E8600
4870x2
4x1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC8500
and stuffs at sign (didnt update that yet)

So reading a few posts at the beginning of this topic shows me that is a possible error using these RAM.

Besides that, anyone have a clue on what else can help me boot without try another mem brand? Have no other mem kit here, just these one.

Well the system seems to "boot" because i can hear the CDROM reading my vista cd like its doing boot from cd. The led codes it gives when its "up and running" is 2A

E1 is a memory error m8. it happens when I try to clock to high with the wrong timings or not enough voltage, my suggestion is to try and borrow a stick of diff ram as that seems the only option. also are they single sided crucial? or double sided? I have 4gb single sided tracers that I was using on this board, got that E1 error all the time but always ended up booting just didnt like that ram. Also I have yet to experience the "2A" error code, maybe it's something to do with video or I/0 related.

See DIM Code Checkpoints section of document for more information. (no other info but this??)

2c: Initializes different devices. Detects and initializes the video adapter
installed in the system that have optional ROMs.
2e: Initializes all the output devices

Its a 4GB (2x 2x1GB Kit) Double sided non tracers. Tomorrow i will borrow a stick of corsairs to test and see if i can at least boot to set the crucial specs.

The full AMI BIOS POST AND BEEP CODE LIST i see in a message here on this tread backwards, dont remember who or where it is anymore, but i made a copy of the PDF, sorry if a cant give credits to it.

I'm OCing this board at 9x500.

Vcpu=1.376v
Vdd2=2.096v
Vnb/sb=1.304v
Vfsb=1.328

At those voltages it cannot pass 505 FSB, What should I change for higher FSB ?

try setting the vnb and vfsb to auto and see what the boards sets it's self to, thats how I was able to hit 5ghz, just upped it a notch from what the auto setting set, also you'll deff. have to up cpu volts, see these wolfies are great clockers with low volts till you gte to a point then they need alot bigger voltage jumps, I'd up cpuv +.1V and set vnb and vfsb to auto try that, if nothing try messing with the ram volts and rcomp settings.

I pulled the heatsink assembly off of my board this afternoon to replace the TIM. My board didn't have any white paste at all. It instead had a pink strip of bubblegum-looking TIM on the power hardware and a white thermal pad on the NB. I replaced it all with silicone paste, and now have a stable FSB of 530mhz instead of 520mhz.

I'm having trouble with mine and a X3330 right now.

When I set the Vcore to +0.3v, in windows it registers as 1.5V core but if I drop it to +0.25v it shows in windows as 1.3V core. I can't get anything in between.

been playing with this mobo and a q9550(e0)...northbridge is hot!!! and voltage regulators tooo!!! just a warning for quadcore users..time to get watercooling...
