Good Job on the purple guys
Damn, today I noticed that my dad purchased some new Mac Pros (You know, the dual i7 ones:D) for the company. About 7 I counted. That was a big upgrade since the other rigs are kinda old and "crappy", and they are on for the workhours. So they don't generate much.
I was SO tempted to install WCG on the 7 new Mac Pros. While I was trying to download BOINC onto the first one... "STOP," My Dad yelled out. "Don't install that software onto the new computers, you will distract the employee'k concentration and they will lose work." Then, of course, I told him that "it is a background app." But he said "You think I am stupid?!"
I shall come back.. Soon..
Congrats Team:up:
BTW.. anyone know what project gives the most points?
Yeah.. the ones I don't run :p:
Probably the ones I don't run either, aids, rice?
Whos slacking? XS 6,712,246

Another nice day
If we are going to make a 7M avg December for the X-Mas challenge we need to start picking it up a little bit :yepp:
For some reason my numbers have been low the past 2 days... so blame me.
I just checked.... all my boxes are running normally
I:cord:don't:slapass:even:horse:know:poke:Sparky
why:wierd:would:fight:I:hammer:blame:stick: him:ROTF:
Nice numbers everyone, we just need a few more i7's to get to a constant 7M.
How many PPD does a Pentium 4 make? (I will be acquiring one soon from my grandparents)
What the heck will? The first step of Addiction is to admit my shortcoming's and my inability to control it. Well as long as I still have control of my wallet I am more than willing to admit and give in to my addiction to crunching got my Q6600, forever now, my i7 920 and just added another i7 920 my AMD rigs my Xeon:cool:
I took the night off work on my rigs, I know total nerd, well I want constant Purple I'll go pick up another i7 if I have to?:yepp::yepp:

I was much better today, honest! 56k today! <pulls phone battery>
I'll start tinkering with my clock speeds in the morning... No call necessary here! :sofa:
how much can an i7 pull in per day?
Sadly the stat servers are down right now just so you guys know.

I had low numbers today. Sorry, don't know why.
I had to slack up for a few days and relocate a few rigs back down stairs so I dont have to run the A/C in the upstairs. Added a couple i7s back this evening. I am getting all the 775 rigs out and taking them apart, its time to get rid of them part them out and hope I can sell some of it...
You can sell that stuff road runner, what you say, 90-95% of people out there don't realize the current tech. That hardware is still gold out there-it's just us crunchaholics that need the state of art stuff

I had a couple of systems catching up for bad output yesterday AND I put a Q6600 back online. Not my fault we didn't get purple !
Yeah I had a really good day today at 76k instead of my usual 50-something. Not my fault this time! :lol2:
I don't know, but according to WCG site they only have 19 current members.
-edit- After a little bit of research, it seems that Nike headquarters is in The Netherlands. Makecureshappen, the highest contributing member of that team, is from the Netherlands according to the WCG site. Their motto is "Just do it, make cures happen." So I'm gonna go ahead and leap to the conclusion that Nike computers are all crunching under that user name. http://www.nikebiz.com/responsibilit...ter_world.html About halfway down the page it has some info about make cures happen.
Wow, that's really cool. I make it a point to buy New Balance because they assemble shoes in the USA, (and I've been disappointed by several pairs of Nikes in the past) but I give them kudos for this. Maybe I'll try to buy Nike in other products besides shoes.
I got some Kobes from Nike, they are the bomb. ;)

Damn, ive been so busy at work i did not even realize we hit purple and that we got the x-mas challenge figured out. Why didn't anyone tell me :shakes:
I was going to run my new 920 on F@H, but I will now add this to the team. Were we supposed to do anything different or was our team signed up as a whole?
Whole team... If your crunchin for us your competing!

Anyone know if screensavers hinder crunching at all?..
Will the software run faster if I do not run the screen saver?
Yes. The screen savers divert your computer resources to motion and graphic processing. This is not just for the World Community Grid's screen savers, but for most screen savers.

:)
I run the XP My Pictures slideshow and didn't notice enough of a drop to worry about. Yes, I know I have windows 7, but I like XP's slideshow better so I keep a copy of it to put on my Win7 PC
What's so great about it? Anyone know how to delete 7 wallpapers and some of the catagories, it would be tidier to just have the ones i want to use to create a slideshow...........

Merry Christmas!!
I had thought with the northern hemisphere in winter our numbers would be up and we might start to see purple on a regular basis but it looks like we are backsliding our way into the red again.:shakes:
I can only squeeze out a couple more MHz but I'll do what I can.:yepp:
I haven't changed a thing here, so it isn't me

Not our finest moment but sure is some damn fine crunching !!!
X3210 and Q8200 quit working, tons of points lost.
That's harsh ... glad to hear you are on your way back to full production
I am part to blame for today. i went to move 1 of my i7 rigs. When I powered it on I got a post error. Then spent the next 2 or 3 hours getting it back right. All seems good now. Temps on the cores are comeing in at around 40C. Alot better than what they where. The cold air in the garage is good for something.
