Now that is nice. What cooling?
That was in response to Malph incidentally.
I just asked for the steppings from sellers on eBay. It'll be a bit of a crapshoot with a big etailer, but if they sell a lot of chips then you have a better chance of getting something like an 0619 Toledo core. I've seen later Manchester cores that weren't doing much though.
LDBFE 0622WPMW any good?

Looks like it's going to need a big v-core increase to get from 2.8 to 3GHz.
2.9 GHz needs 1.38V (bios setting) or 1.41V measuring with a DMM
3.0 Ghz looks like it's going to need 1.45V to be prime stable.
I've been looking and not much luck at the moment. I have contacted usual places and they just say they have both revisions and its pot luck.Quote:

Well my results aren't fantastic with an E4 Manc core.... Really want to find somewhere doing E6 revisions
That's some pretty decent WCing you got going Malph. Only a few degrees over ambient after being under load for hours.
What stepping are you on Firelord?
Where you been looking pocketbikeuk?
overclockers scan arai ebay everywhere online forums.Quote:

i think its the same 89w both.Quote:

God why can't the UK get sites that gives revisions *mad*
I'm not sure about those temps in that A64 program.Quote:

So I got angry with what I thought were heat related issues. Cracked open a Wilkinson Sword disposable, got out the isopropyl alcohol and sliced the IHS off.
Yes, I did drink beforehand. There was no way I was going to wreck a £100 CPU without being under the influence.
I'm no expert, but there was a lot of TIM under the IHS and it wasn't exactly smooth on. There were a few patches where it was either quite thick or quite thin. It's definitely helping. Now I'm not sure what temperatures I trust, but I do know that whether I use Core Temp or Speedfan. According to Speedfan, I'm idling at 24C or so now. We're looking at a drop of at least 15, maybe as much as 20 degrees celsius.
I'm using a Thermalright SLK 948U, which I'd quite like lapped given that it seems a bit beat up and I've not put any TIM on at all yet. I'm going to do a quick run of Orthos and see what happens.
Fire extinguishers at the ready...
x2 3800+ E6 toledos are very difficult to find.Quote:

I got a Manchester (from Newegg) that won't do better than 2.5Ghz at 1.52v.
Anyone find a reliable source for Toledo LCBIE 3800's yet?
Mine is headed for Ebay as soon as I can find a decent replacement.
Toledos LCBIE are great, MAnchesters LDBFE 0614 are good too, my 2800Mhz at 1.45v, 2600Mhz 1.33v.
X2 3800 coming from Newegg on Thursday. Will post back with stepping/dates. Great thread. Hoping for a Toledo. /crosses fingers.
LDBFE 0622 EPMW
2.6Ghz at stock volts.
Testing past that now, but I have a Zalman 6000+ holding me back.
With a steady 77F room temp, pushing 1.45v to the chip for stability at 2.7Ghz - the core and PWMIC both get to near 60C when both cores are loaded full, and it fails Prime95 at that temp. Using ITE Smart Guardian for temps. Chipset is stock volts and 43 with case side on. It's an old Antec 1060B server tower case. I've got a 2x Panaflo 80mm for intake/exhaust plus the PSU fan. It was more than enough for the Venice.
I turned the AC to take me down to 74F. With the side off my case, I'm down to 52C and 46C core and PWMIC temps. (The Venice threw errors anywhere over 49C). With the side on the PWMIC breaks 50C and when it hits 50C+, I start to error out...
This 6000b-Cu kept my Venice 3000+ cool enough to do 2.6Ghz stable for months, but I think the X2 needs more love. Looking at the Tuniq Tower, Big Typhoon, and water as options. I'd REALLY like to get 2.8+ out of this chip, and 2.6Ghz at stock volts really makes me think I can get it.
I'm concerned if I move to water and PWMIC still remains a cooling issue. I've got a DFI Ultra-D. I'll start another thread for that issue once I get more data.
Anyway, LDBFE 0622 EPMW from Newegg (ordered 9/10) delivered 9/13 that does 2.6Ghz at stock volts. Not too shabby for a start.
How did you manage to mount your 6000b-Cu ?

I have an LCBIE 0619RPMW that I recently purchased (NIB) and was encouraged by your results, then I saw your sig...and became curious as to whether I should get exited or not. :D
