Opteron 175 Week: 530 (from NewEgg)
Running @2,700 Ghz. Temps: Iddle 39c Load:52-55c
RAM: 2 Gigs (1Gigx2) Mushkin Redlines PC4000 (3-3-2-8)
Vcore: 1.4375 Vdimm: 2.70
Air Cooled: AC Freezer 64 Pro w/MX-1 Tpaste (I love it)
Mobo: Asus A8N-Sli Premium (Heat Pipe)
I could get it to 2.9Ghz with no problem but temperatures were passing 55c on load. I like to keep it cool. Also I'm new to AMD world so I don't know if I should push it harder.
55C is getting hot dont take it passed 60C best to keep it below 50 or low 50s at leastQuote:

CCBWE 0534SPMW is 2700ish, too, I have one and I haven't seen anything bad from that one from anybody else. However, I have a 175 and the 170 didn't seem to do as well. Didn't see a 165 with that code.
If you order a random chip right now you'll likely get a 0546, which have been reported to do 2.6 GHz. However, I am not sure these people all did the dual-prime 48 hours blues.

Well, I just got my opteron 165 from monarch today that I bought during their 24 hour sale.
The stepping shows it's a brand new one:

The only person to have one of these so far was wicked, who's opty failed prime right out of the box so he sent it back. That really sucks but we will see. I don't get the HSF until tomorrow so I'm really pissed I won't be able to even plug it in. I won't know initial OC results until Thursday it seems.

Hello all, I'm a bit new to the scene, and thought I would add my results. I've only benchmarked with 3D Mark '03, never used the Pi program, I must get round to downloading it. Just changed the Cpu volts and the FSB speed, all other setting in Genie was left on auto, as I don't now which values to change for the best, more research is needed.
Didn't go above 1.45v, as until I checked this thread I wasn't sure it was a good idea, but now I think I'll go up to 1.7v. If temps are low, ie below -20, can I just keep pumping the volts up to max? I presume the board goes above 1.7v

Nothing special, this combo of hardware is rock stable, cpu is the weak bit, left vdimm at 2.7 and not needed to touch it. Everytime a speed was unstable increasing the cpu volts fixed it. Motherboard and memery just lap it up, very pleased with them.
I'm going to push more volts through the Cpu as temps have barely increased from stocks speed/volts (-35 to -40 but smart guardian temps/volts jump up and down like a yo-yo) .
Sorry for all the text, not 100% on forum use yet, I'm still learning. When I get to the upper limits and have a decent OC to report I'll do a screen shot and include super pi readout, if that's the norm.

^Don't just keep pushing the volts as far as they can go, 1.7v should be max for benching and max OC and stuff but for 24/7 I wouldn't go over 1.65v. then again, I've never used phase and don't really know the "rules" for DC phase :rolleyes: (to chull)
Anyway my CCBWE 0534 165 is running solid at 2700MHz 1.475v as you can see in my sig. 1.45v passed prime for almost 5hrs but CS:S froze after about an hour, so now I'm burning in at 1.4 and 1.375 to try and get it stable at 1.45 2700MHz

what is acceptable for Chipset area on a NF4 board,, my chipset is located between my two 7800gt cards on the DFI expert and it reaches like 49c on dual prime load and like 53c and more on full video load with cards heating up to around 60c load,,,
