From what i've seen of Newegg's prices they won't be meeting or beating any prices... especially with the damn CA tax and not-free shipping.

Im seriously gonna cry if it doesnt come out on Monday. Ive been waiting to build my rig since the beginning of summer so I can game like crazy until school starts, but because of this god damned company Ill have about 4/5ths of a month to play instead of 2.

I can tell you right now that the retail price for an E6600 isn't going to be below $339 anywhere and you will be lucky to see ZZF at that price when they show in stock. The price will likely go up as soon as people start to order because everyone is going to hit them hard since that will be the lowest price point on the E6600. ClubIT also had them for $339 and i ordered one so it should ship Monday. Newegg will likely price quite a bit higher then $339 simply because all they have to do is show it in stock and slap whatever price they want on it and people will buy because it's Newegg.

buy.com has the E6600 for 339. Shipping is not free, since i got charged 6.52 for it. There is no cus. serv. number to call, so that sucks. What are your opinions on it? I havent ordered it yet, but waiting on other peoples ideas.

The store received them on Friday, 8/4/06 but will not sell until Monday 8/7/06

I ordered a 6700 OEM from ClubIT (since it was in stock, showed 34 left when I ordered real early yesterday) with overnight shipping and it's already halfway across the country according to FedEx's tracking number. Unfortunately, it won't be here until monday though. They still have 14 left last I checked a couple minutes ago.

I'm giving Intel the benefit of the doubt until Monday on the quantity they have available. I think the biggest issue will be the 6600s and not necessarily because of Intel; it's because every message board/website out there talking about C2D is recommending the 6600 because it's the best price/performance.

clubit has had the e6400s in stock all week, and they've been shipping all week. They don't take orders unless they have it in stock. I'll remember them for future purchases, as everything went smoothly. Then even delivered without requiring a signature as I requested. Here's the tracking info for my E6400 retail box I ordered...

ClubIT is a good way to go for an E6400 or E6300. I ordered Thursday and mine has left California now as well. It will be here this Thursday.
