The last, I remember very well, but growth that the date was 20/05/2010.
Another thing that happens is that with the Q9650 installed, the motherboard is silly, just shows the code C1-01-C1 -01 and so repeatedly, restart and start again with these codes ...
-
mm strange contact dfi support i guess...

One question.
This board should do something special to update the bios? reset it or give a clear CMOS before installing another processor?
Or just upgrade and go?
If the problem persists speak to the people of DFI.

Zsamz Hi, I've tested many of the BIOS, now have the latest beta bios, but there is no way to make it work with the Q9650 ...
I tried to jumpers, putting the manual 1333MHz FSB with jumpers but nothing ..
Bios may be corrupt? this motherboard is dual bios? Is there a way to jump to the second bios?

just reflash the bios
q9650 is old enough of a cpu that there must be a bios supporting it
you try another set of ram or 1 stick of ram
i seen some q9650 + ram combo that my rex didnt like

a Q9650 defenatly works i have seen alot of them on this bord.

Hi, I tested with 1GB Crucial Ballistix module. (With the Q9650 installed)
http://images.crucial.com/images/res...pin_350x90.gif
The board seems to want to turn, but began to whistle, with constant short beeps.
I've been looking for information on the bios beeps awards and that kind of beeps means:
Constant short-Tone: The motherboard is faulty, ie it is broken is the worst thing that can happen.
But I do not understand how you can work with the E4600 and not the Q9650, and my processor (Q9650) is perfect, indeed, is working right now on the P5Q Pro Turbo.
Contact to the people of DFI to see what he says.
Greetings and thanks.

The C1 error is memory related. This board has a horrid vDimm vdrop of .1v. The board likes to reset to default vdimm of 1.8v which is really 1.7v when measured by a DMM. This makes it really hard for most memory sticks with D9's to post. Try posting with some non-D9 memory, set vDimm to 2.3v in BIOS, shutdown and then try your D9's again. I ended to doing a vdimm V'mod, but I still have issues with C1 from time to time.

I would say 914........................but it really depends on what ram you have onboard.

Sorry for the bump, but is anyone using the latest 3TB drives on their boards? I want to update my current WD 500GB drives for something a bit larger.
I am running Windows 7 x64 so that should not be a problem.
I realize there are tools available from other manufacturers to overcome any problems, but I am curious about the dfi.
