Ok, but for saying how cheep these chips are, you get a lot from them! Ok they don't overclock as well as some, but they are the lowest chip AMD do, but provide some massive overclocks from stock.

Agreed! Definitely GREAT bang for the buck!Quote:

Anyone tried those JIUHB 0302s with KT266A?
thought add my jiuhb 0302 in
2508@2.15v 100% stable folding 24/7
refer h20 w/8rda
My JIUHB 0302 "9" is behaving like this:
1.6v 2040 prime95 stable
1.7v 2140 prime95 stable
1.8v 2240 prime95 stable
Still testing and burning in. My cooling setup is made of a wb with cold water (8~10°). I aim to top out at 2500mhz with 2.1v and 3d bench at 2600mhz... let's hope this long burnin session will help...
Just ordered my watercooling kit!
Should be here by the weekend, so hopefully by Sunday i should ahve some real speed outa this chip!
The chip I posted is now in a friend's KR7A with water cooling.Quote:

12.5 X 191.36 = 2392.05Mhz
2.1vcore
while I had 2.3ghz at 2.02vcore with SLK-800 50cfm in hot room.
I'm now testing my cpu at 2320Mhz at 1.9v. It looka like my mobo is limiting me in some way with the hot mosfets, I have to cool them down...
ramsinks and big-ass intake fans work fine for me 8-)
also, a sheet of aluminum bent over to it pushes against the mobo tray (and glued to mosfets) helps cool the backside ones.
I just ordered my 1700+ Type B today along with the following:
1 x ARCTIC SILVER III Thermal Compound
2 x SAMSUNG 256MB 333Mhz PC2700 DDR SDRAM
1 x EPOX 8RDA+ Socket-A ATX Motherboard
1 x THERMALTAKE Volcano 9
I'm new to overclocking but I figure if I'm ever going to do it then this is the processor to do it with. I'm on a limited budget and I kind of cheapened out on the DDR (they were out of 512 sticks). But I read up on the Epox board and it seems amazing for overclocking.
I have a couple of questions though.
Will I run into any FSB limitations with the RAM I just bought? I'm hoping to get up to a stable 185 or so with it at least.
Also will this cooler work if I run the chip at about 2.2 Ghz?
One last question. I have a cheap ass case and psu. I know I'll have to buy a better one eventually but my question is will I have any problems overclocking this cpu with a 300 watt psu? I noticed most of the other guys have at least 350. I haven't had any problems with it so far but I haven't had an overclock system.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my newbie questions!!! I'll post my results once I get everything setup.
Try this bios....Quote:

Temps don't pass 35C on the Epox CPU sensor.

I can get 235Mhz agressive timings...so you certainly should do 200Mhz...
Pretty much as the other 0302's:
XP1700+ JUIHB 0302 '9'
2300mhz @ 1.87~2.0v (damn you Epox 8rda+, i should cool my mosfets. Bios set to 1.9v). rock stable with stable h²o cooling, max 40°C
Good enough for me. :)
my JIUHB 0302:
2000 1.6V Stable.
2100 1.725V Stable.
2200 1.825V Stable.
2300 1.925V Stable.
2400 2.025V Stable.
2450 2.20V Stable.
2500 2.20V Maxed Out, Boots into Windows but not stable at all.
Cooling: 20C plain h20
1700 jiuhb 0302 wpmw
needs 2.0v to run stable at 12*180. WTF !!!
what tweaks and bios settings you all using to max chip out..
will get into windows at 2220 or a lil higher but not prime95 stable
errors out on first test..
57deg C full load.
thx for help
unlucky and bad cooledQuote:

I'm thinking 2.3ghz on air?
UPDATE: Just wacked it in, currently doing 2100mhz (200x10.5) at 1.75v!
Doing some stabiltiy tests, then upping it more, temps are about 30c load!
Thats with Alpha PAL 8045 and Delta 80mm at 3500rpm
Yes, beware. I've seen reports about those chips not being as good as 0302XPMW like NewEgg sells.
In fact, if I remember correctly, the chip Stepper was talking about above it's also a WPMW from eXcaliberPC.
Don't give wrong, still an excellent OC'er but not as good as 0302XPMW.
EQuito is correct...an I sic about the whole thing...maybe I need a bigger hammer...:mad:Quote:

Well right now im at 2406mhz at 2.25v stable im gona try for 2500 today
you know whats funny i only got off the self samsung 2.5 ram in my old asus a7n8x i was stuck at 185fsb no mater what i did with my new EPOX 200fsb right out of the box no prob's at all well im staying with EPOX
Oh, just great. Play the lotto at Newegg, maybe even get an "A" core but possibly get a great JIUBH 0302 sub-stepping or go to eXcaliberPC and get a probable fine but not outstanding CPU.Quote:
