x1600pro 512mb cards in crossfire

i was looking at the x1600xt's but I need a mobo.. and I just got a bonus so now other options have come up... :D

I might order a pair of 1600XTs tomorrow before I am out of commission for the Holiday weekend so I can hopefully be ready to mess with them Tues. or so...

i was running cpu at only 2 or 2.2ghz and ram at default, and x850xtpe and 6600gt extreme at default (550/1180) were very close in 2k1.

and i dont know, they are fun to play with, but seriously, if it wouldnt be two cards but one card scoring like this i doubt anybody would buy it.
sclower than x850xt, only pro is sm3.0 ...and there are a few mods and patches to see hdr here and there, not wroth to go sm3.0 yet if you ask me.
if its free like on nvidia cards, sure, but if you can choose between a faster card without and a slower card with sm3.0 thern id get the faster one any day.

For the price the pro doesn't look very good... Is x1600xt a LOT better?

NO one has done crossfire withthe x1600xt yet they have ddr3 the pro have ddr2 and thats a whole new ball game.

No, but I would have expected somewhat better. Could you publish a link, so I can compare it with the x600xt?

ot once again, car high is close to 140 in xt range :D:D:D:D:D
