Which side of the panel is it on?
If you replace the "door" of the case, with the radiator, and put the fan on it, It'll blow thru the radiator into the case, thus reducing dust and barely lower temps

hi! :) ,
It is used passively outside my house, tubes going through a small inlet in the window, into the back of my case. Idle and Load temps are nearly the same, and rarely exceed 2C from each other in both CPU, Chipset, and Both GPUs
A few months ago I made a revisions
1)Painted Inside Black
2)Barbed Nipples seperating inner case and outtercase tubing

What I was unable to do was Change to MD30-RZG3, so I will have to stick with MD20-RZG2
That revision was a while back, and within a week I will change to Lian Li PC65 Case, DFI Ultra-D modded SLI, Opteron 148 at 3.1Ghz, two 7900GTs volt modded to 1.4V for some fun Passive Nature Chilled Overclocking;)
Hmmm a lian-li pc 65 case you say :p:
would it be this one

dang i hate to sell this thing.

What pump do you have?
How noisy is the pump?
MD20-RZG2 and its rather quiet.
not as quiet as your 1046 (nothing is) but its suprisingly quiet for how powerful it is.
In Couple of days I might be able to aquire a MD30.
Flow with an MD20 is too low for optimal performance. The Radiator is literally a brick wall. -.-
MD20 not enough.. thats pretty funny... the rad certainly wont have a problem with the RD30's heat dump.. hell you could have 2 in series and you wouldnt even notice i bet.
Two RD30s in series? :slobber: Do It!
well well well, nice job
wow, this tread still alive :)Quote:

Going to mount Koyo radiator on a moveable rack (like skateboard), with pump mounted also, so its like aportable cooling unit.
Basically right now I'm still looking for adequate fans and how to construct the shroud. From testing, very little fannage is necessary to cool this thing. Looking for good pair of 8-10" fans to run at silent levels.
(BTW- The pic in my signature is photoChopt, its not real)
anyone who didnt realize it was a photochop needs to be smacked upside the heat with a fish.Quote:

Make sure you post lots of pictures of your new rig!
That is truly Xtreme (overkill, but Xtreme nonetheless), kinda funny too when you say MD20 isn't enough though :slap: . Nice temps too.

well, Just won this from ebay:

MD30 with 36 feet of head pressure. It seems like overkill, but now that I have an MP01 and MP05 rather than the Polarflos, theres going to be a bunch of added restriction.
Its 200V, anyone know what I need to run this from 110VAC outlet. Some transformer perhaps.
Going to suck when it hits 37C-40C in the summer your temps will probbably shoot way over 40CQuote:

Otherwise... a shroud would make it very large, which is not desirable. You should be looking at crossblow fans: small, compact, quiet, but will only give you a minimum of airflow.
Example:
http://mpja.com/directview.asp?product=12639+FN
Just build a simple box on the front of the radiator, to direct the air.
Just buy a silent house fan and put it in front of it. It's not like that huge rad needs so much airflow. :p:
I whish I had pictures, but basically passivelly my temps were decent and about the same as a BIP3.Quote:

Basically passively temps are acceptable, but with even the Smallest Airflow, they droped unrealistically a lot. For example Ambient 22 CPU Load passive would be 36, With Fan load was 24C.
So one 12" House fan at the lowest setting brought the lowest delta I could get. Adding more fannage didn't help, so I'm going to soon make an aluminum shroud with that house fan and paint it black.
Not as silent as passive, but definetly around 25-30dbl,
CAn't wait to try out new pump, just waiting for new mobo to arrive
awesome...
lol your setup is easilly beating other people's setups... that cost more (like mine :()
well maybe mine cost less, depends on whether or not you got that pump for $30 or less ;)
btw, for people who know...
what is quieter? 50Z or Iwaki MD20RZ
i had a MD20 (i bought from zenjirou) and i now have 2 x 50Z's... and now my setup is way more quiet
maybe Zen sold me a overly loud pump :nono: that would not be cool:slap:
50Z is quieter but the MD20 is not too load either. The new RD20 is so quiet you dont know its on unlese you put your hand on it, and it outpreforms the MD20RZ head and flow wise as well as heat dump :D and pretty much blows the 50Z out of the water and out of this world. Only down side as always with Iwaki pumps is the price.
its same noise level as the other two iwaki md20's I have. I know for sure the 50z is quieter. The iwaki should make a low pitched Humm sound. Is it very very loud? (i hope its not insainly lound , meaning sometimes wrong with it...:(Quote:

reason I decided on this is
1) Using 12" Fan would have an enormously large dead spot in the middle . To remedy this the fan would have to be quite far away from the fins, thus the shroud would be long and bulky.
2) The radiator is Rectangle and in addition to the dead spot large portions of the radiator would be without direct fannage, unless I used TWO 12" fans side by side
3) Using 12 120mm's allows fannage across the entire surface area as fans are in every section of the radiator
4) Automobile Radiator Fans would require both a seperate Means PSU, as well as a 12V DC motor PWN.
5) Its reasy to make a shroud for 120mm's; making one for Table top fan I previously used would require strange mounting.
I'm only scared of noise, but as I found out earlier, very little airflow was needed to maximize the radiators cooling capability for the heat load I applied.
The FPI is very large, probably close to the 17.5 of BI series. Its thickness is in between a BIP and BIX.
I was thinking 6 on one side 6 on the other in push and pull configuration. If not, other option is 10 fans on one side.
Just have to look for a good 120mm which is cheap (buing 10+)
Yates from J-mag? Hard to find cheaper and better fans!Quote:

Zen, if you do get some 140 mm's order an extra one for me as the front intake of my v2000 can fit like anything
just LMK what you do, thanks
btw, will this rad be inside or outside? (of room)
if its outside, maybe you can just get some deltas (4-6) on a shroud and you'll be set
