Anyone knows anything about an ATI bios editor for this card?
Well damn...that is a big voltage jump up...I assume this safe on the card though.
Well lets hope a nice BIOS Editor is available soon. So we can set permanent clocks and voltages on the cards once we find our max stable 24/7 overclocks.
Borked my Sapphire XT, BSOD big time, flashed ok. Lucky I saved the original bios. Had to flash it back from PCI.
really?Quote:

ATI WILL let its partners overclock their cards. The partners are aiming to bring a new old card to the market called the X1800XT OC. The card will have a special BIOS and will be shipped with a special tool that will overclock it out of the box. The cards will run at 700MHz core and 1600MHz memory.
I said "Lets Hope" are the keywords...I don't know if there will be a program soon...I am hoping and praying. Because I am tired of setting clocks with these tools. Or hopefully ATITool gets fixed soon and we can overclock 3D Profile with it.Quote:

Ok, please listen
When flashing XT bios it is best to down clock the card to like 500/500 to prevent screen corruption that can mess up the bios flashing process.
This bios also needs to be tried on an XL card. I bet it will work.
but isnt the XT 512 mb, while the XL is 256 mb, would it be wise to flash a bios with different memory sizes???
I own a x1800xl so this info would be very sueful for me :)
The clocks on my card were the stock 2D clocks when I flashed it. And it worked fine. I haven't had any issues so far yet...

Yes you can go up to 5,000 on the core lol
As for the memory it is still 800 though.
lol, I saw the screenshot. But will it really try to go that high? does anything higher than 700 really work? Will it save the higher settings at logon?Quote:

I'm verry Happy :D
the BIOS works fine for me...but ONLY if i use catalyst 5.11. with 5.12 it gets too hot, and unstable, and will not allow me to set 2d clocks anymore

I am using Cat v5.12s just fne and stable. I just need an Opteron for my scores. I finally got my RAM at 300FSB so I think I have a lot to progress with now.

It seems the 3D Clocks are working fine though. I am using ATI CCC to overclock now and everything is working great for me. Max temps have been 80C and it is alittle hot in my room to begin with.
I am seriously thinking about ordering a Opteron right now. If it were you guys getting one...which Single Core Opteron would you get?
Glad I'm not the only one who had major screen corruption. I had to drop to 500/500 when I flashed mine. Why would the app have this problem?Quote:

Perkam
I still like my x1800XT though...
Well now it is a x1800XT OC:D
:toast: life is good, no we need to get a way to oc the memory....my core is at 750 an still going.....tested it for 4 hours of extreme gaming via bf2,cod2, and quake4....Quote:
