I have a feeling you may be talking of 3fsb max....ask yourself is it worth an upgrade for that...?Quote:

Would you say it's worth it to go from Ultra-D ( not modded like yours ;) ) to expert because of the better VTT?Quote:

I just got some old school bh-5 that I'm running in my ultra-d and I'm kind of afraid it's going to take down one of the sticks like it did my VX. :slap: That's my main reason for wanting a upgrade. :)
Guys you have to decide yourselves if its worth your cash, i won't say either way if it is or is not but I think the debate is worthy of some time.
I have a Dfi Sli-Dr and a Dfi RDX200. Of course the latter had htt problems with its initial bios and I think Tony you mean that when expert is better than rdx, you refer it with its initial release bios. Because I can boot up now to 350+ mhz htt and use my Geil One tccd sticks at 315 mhz 2.5-4-3-7 just like in my Dfi Sli-Dr.
PS. And a small note. My OCZ EL DDR3500 Platinum Limited Edition which has old bh5 modules works like a charm in both boards. 280mhz 2-2-2-5 is no problem in both of them. I must congratulate the people of OCZ for making a very fine product :woot:
SLi-D dead = Expert in my case :)Quote:

Will the Expert reduce/eliminate the amount of cold boot problems(TCCD...) and other similar stability issues many have with the SLI-DR??
WOuld like a report on how GOLD BH does, and also how 4x 512M results make out for all the rams.
Would love EMC2 to unleash his test equipment on an Expert to tell us how Vtt is working for sure.
Better audio is a sell/upgrade point, but 2 FULL x16 PCIe slots may be a real seller.... if ATI boards can do CFire on it without a dongle or "master card" as they have annouced X1300 X1600 boards will do CFire over PCIe only.
They say X850 X1800 cant on current X8 X8 boards, but on X16 X16, well, lets hope so.
I hope it fixes the gay-as boot vdimm i still get even with newer BIOS's that cause my 4000vx to fail boot (e.g. 2.66V when set to 3.4V)

Not sure where you are going here m8, this is an 8x8 SLI Nforce board that does not run crossfire?Quote:

you need to have a broad amount of boards on test to answer that...only time will show i feelQuote:

i just ordered one of these, since my rdx200 has been sitting in step 2 of the rma process for 3 days now, i called newegg to change it to a refund instead of a replacement (after i spend $22 to fedex express it there). The initial results look better to me then the rdx200 anyways :)
just received my dfi expert .. gonna install it in a bit with my opty 150 ..
Tell me if any of you guys get an appreciable improvement in your CPU overclock
Jost got mine as well. To bad I won't have my X2 until tuesday :(
