O'well.

If we only knew what EXACTLY is the cold bug (why and what really happens from very technical point of view) then I think some bright engineer could have been able to fix it. I think it was hoped (I remember Tony really did) that adjusting Drive Strenghts could fix the problem. Therefore with such a plethora of those options in BIOS, up to 15, it would help (It certainly did NOT help on other mobos). I guess, and I really thought that from the beginning, the theory does not meet with practice in this case...Quote:

I believe its PC Ice's 3800+ Venice taht hit over 3800mhz. Not sure though but I think thats it.Quote:

but as far as i remember tony said that the colder your temps get the lower you have to set the driving strength values. so 15 would be exactly in the wrong direction.Quote:

Stellar chip ya got there :D I like how you SS is only 20mhz higher then bench stable. Thats some true oc'ing talent
Woohooo, Opp is into SuperPi!! :toast:
Show us some records for SuperPi Opp, that chip doesn't suffer from the cold it seems, did you work out wheter it's the chip or the mobo already?
can you do a bandwidth shot from sisoft sandra, at your highest speed?
I'd love to see that.
The 3800MHz screen shot isn't a max screeny, who knows how high just a screeny could be. The 3800MHz was just the speed I was running trying to make stable.Quote:
