Im thinking of 2 rads because the sli setup of 2 x 7900s are gonna produce good amount of heat... so I dont want already warm water from cpu going into my vga cards :(

Um. its fine.
Really. Its fine. No, really. Nearly everyone here runs a single loop, and i can guarantee you its better than fine. Perhaps because the entire delta of the water accordd the whole loop is often... well...
From the 1st post of this thread:
0.7c delta accorss the radiator. WHich means each block in a tipical setup heats the water up by oh, maybe 0.2c? Less, thats with 400W worth of TECs plus another 100-125W worth of pure silicon heat :)Quote:

In comparison a typical AMD + SLi setup dumps about 300-400W depending on the videocards used...
See where im going? Load temps of the 2nd card will be maybe 2-3c higher than the 2nd card...
Anyway, perhaps this discussion would do better in its own thread :)
i was just about to add a pump section to the guide.. and then you reminded me why i didnt have one in there origionaly... the first guide i wrote... which i need to update.. along with 20 milllion other things i need to do.. sheesh.Quote:

Yeah, thats a problem all powerful (and quite a few silent) axial DC fans share - bearing noise and (loud) engine ticking at low volts. When i connect my 190CFM Delta up for a laugh with a potie and put it @ 5v its sounds like a jackhammer.
But the way that fan is designed, it couldn't be mounted to the PA160 directly as the screw holes don't line up. I haven't found any 160mm fans other than that particular one.Quote:

Nice job on that shroud, mine would end up being made from cardboard and duct tape. :)Quote:

Thanks heaps Marci! This review is just what I needed to see.
how would the PA160 compare to a chevette heatercore?
Anyone think the pa120.3 is worth the upgrade from the he? Currently have the he but redoing my system for Conroe soon and wondering if I should try selling the he and going to the pa or if the extra cost/hassle isn’t worth it. Also with my he whether I have the fans at full or at 7v it doesn’t seem to affect temperature in my loop (maybe the heatload is low enough that the fan speed is irrelevant?) (why isint my signature showing up?)

A .3 definitely laughs at that heatload... :) You could even change it for a PA .2 and I guess you wouldn't notice a big difference.
true, but the he seems to be laughing at the heatload as well (load over idle is about 5C, delta T doesnt seem to change with voltage, (both idle and load go up similarly). So would the pa be any better or would I have to have to 7900gtx's cooled as well to notice a difference?
Sure. I think the only advantage might be that you can keep your deltas at least, but with slower running fans. Still I'd bet you could waste your money somewhere else in a better way :D
amazing review...
thx a lot
Thanks "Marci" I was considering a bix. But now I think onea' dem' PA120.3's might be nicer. (If I can find 1 when I have the money.LOL)
Radiical53's results now added to original post.
Anyone care to guess how a pa160 and a pa120.2 together would compare to a single 120.3?
Now I'm even happier that I bought the PA120.3! :D
Nice to finally know how much better ThermoChill perfroms than Cooltek, I get that question a lot!
The only thing I miss is CoolingWorks in Radicals test!
and black ice pro. should have been in the test, i think it is alot of them out there!
Yes it would be nice to see how far these new rads have improved over the first "silent rad".Quote:
