Well I guess they plan on keeping the watts down then. Although I wonder what happens when you go over.... I hope my chip's llifespan isn't cut in half!

Half is what. 5 years? Tell me who here is going to be using their computer 5 years later.... Even my rig which is 4.5 years old below found a CPU from a friend that threw out his old rig. I havent run on a CPU for more than 3 years. I mean sure my Pentium 90 OCed to 100mhz is still working, so I'm not concerned.

Hell it might get into my 4th rig :P Who knows... How old are AXP 1800+? I think that is the slowest running machine in home now. (I have P3 600mhz system hiding somewhere unconnected... but that is totally different story I guess :P)

Wow,mine is the same as pandur, the lowest MaxTCase so far. Maybe it explains my poor overclock.

Νο, that's just the stock voltage, 2700 needs 1,6+V

My X2 3800+ is melting! 2550 max at 1.4v - any more vcore causes it to melt! Using copper HS with 78cfm fan.

Phase change O/C yet to be determined, but at 1.525vcore on a Mach II, I'm hitting +10C load fwiw.

The interesting thing is that whether my temp sensor is borked or not, i run @ 60C under load & have never had a single instance of instability.
I don't really believe it's that hot; i think the sensor is messed up, but i just find it interesting.
