Alright, I got 240Mhz @ 3-4-3-10 1T 2.9v. Not much past that. Any more hints, clues?

Bushmeal, Thats about what i get out of mine too. Altho im using 3v. i never changed the 2nd number to 4 either. so i might be able to push some more out of them. Cant remember whether im using 2T or 1T tho. I got a bad pair :(
Got a chance to continue with my testing and managed a 254mhz superpi 32m at 2.9v.
Strangly enough I also managed to get Tras down to 9... I included a64tweaker in this ss but I'm not sure what, if any, help it will be to any of you because in my a8n's limited dram options I only changed tras. Everything else is stock.
i know what it was that helped me get past 250mhz now.. before i was using my clawhammer, and topped out at 250mhz. i wrote up this review using my newark:
http://eclipseoc.com/index.php?id=1,18,0,0,1,0
and when i moved back to school, i popped my clawhammer back in, and now i'm stuck at <250mhz again :slap:
seems that your memory controller is quite important in oc'ing these sticks.
Nice review :toast:Was that 250mhz @ 3v with the clawhammer or the newark?Quote:
One thing to note is that I've had this stick in my possesion for use for about a month now. Originally, it took 3v to hit 250mhz at 3-3-3 timings. After using it for a while, it seemed to overclock noticably higher, and with less voltage.
thanks!Quote:

3-4-3-10 1T or 3-4-3-8 1T @ 240Mhz both work. I wonder what kind of average clocks the Ballistixs and Tracers get. If it's just around 250Mhz, I think the price justifies the ValueRam. These ValueRams remind me of my old Buffalo CH5. They got 240Mhz and were a nickel a piece.
I feel guuuud!
the 1gb ballistix is RATED for 250mhz ;)Quote:

Did you set your Read Write Queue Bypass to 8x on purpose or was this what the BIOS auto selected?Quote:

now that you mention it.. i think i've noticed the same thing :stick:Quote:

Ok my sticks arent even good for 225Mhz 3-4-3-10 3v 2T
Getting some OCZ GOLD VX4000 from ebay

Interesting. I've the former. Does it say 5B D on you chips?
so i took a look and made a pic:
on the side with the varranty sticker it says
5MDII
D9FBN
and on the other side
5GDII
D9FBN
here are 2 pics: they also seem to bee smaller than my old Corsair
