Why not just build the best you can for the purposes of keeping the higher clocking chips for yourself? Sell off whats left. You can't really say how hight they will clock, especially at a given voltage, until you have them assembled and tested. Thats a great way to ensure your at least using elite ram :)
Eric
ill go 2 sets of DDR600, and failing them ever existing 2 sets of the next highest :D
You're comparing apples to oranges ;)Quote:

I second that. And god bless your soul if you get this going.Quote:

There is no indication of anykind of gain for UTT while on BP.Quote:

Your ram is TCCD... (Mushkin Black lvl2 v2). Results with TCCD on BP aren't comparable to UTT on BP.
Hmmmmm. I may need to put 300 dollars aside for this :D. Lets see if it works.

Erm.. in order to compete against BH-5 at 300MhZ at 2-2-2 for TCCD would be 400MHz needed :P.Quote:

I'd definatly shell out 300$ for some ddr600, though I'm really doubting this will come to light. But imagine if it's ddr600 garenteed stable, then how high it'll get benchable with 4v+, and I used 3.72v (read from dimm slot) for months completely fine with some old bh5, mixed sticks at that, mushkin blk and some kingston, and they are still fine, so no one should be worried about 3.8v.
Hmmm...
DDR400 3.0v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $100 - this might not be too bad, but TCCD can do this at 2.6v if not lower...and I imagine it has NO overclocking headroom ?? Though nice price on this one :)
DDR480 3.3v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $150 - TCCD can do that at 2.9v
DDR520 3.4v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $200 - Redline Xp3500 can do that...and its $144 right now at the gg
DDR560 3.6v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $250 - Redline XP4000 can do this and its less than $220 at the egg right now
DDR600 3.8v 2*512mb 2-2-2-5 $300 - 3.8v is not somthing that can be run 24/7 ... and btw, if you're recommending 3.8v ... I'd love to know the warranty program on these sticks ;) Not to mention its only going to be possible with one stick or with 2x256.

The next question is, how stable is DDR600, just to do some PiFast test or can you game with it.Quote:

He said it'll be gaurenteed 100% stable at 3.8v, so it's gotta have a little more room in it for bench stability.

Perhaps, but it HAS hit 280, ive seen more than one person do that...not to mention its the ram most likely to hit 280 out of all the ram out there atm...and it is practically 270 guaranteed. - which for the price isnt bad.Quote:

You guys have to remember that he might now even be able to get the deal.. If he does, then maybe.
great initiative....:p:
300mhz 2-2-2-5 seems soooooooo hard to get with 2x512 but if you can get it i don't mind going from door to door in my city selling all your low speed memory as long as i can buy one kit of ddr600.... :D
by the way...you could sell them for a lot more than 300$ and they'll be out of stock in the first week anyway....that's for sure...so better get money for your work....you would deserve it.... ;)
Great initiative, but I think you might have better luck getting Micron to start making 5B-C again or get the -G's more consistant ;)
How about doing 400Mhz instead of 300Mhz. I know that some reputable manufacturer can do it cause some of them has already making DDR3. It would be nice if we can use the so-called 'RAM adapter' to put in the slot of DDR but we are using DDR2 RAM. Just like waht ASUS did on using adapter for his intel mobile CPU on the desktop mobo. I think now is the time to use the adapter on the DDR1 RAM Slot. If there is a will there is a way. Just like Albatron that annouced using PCI-E adapter on AGP Card. What we need is just plug in the AGP card on top of the PCI-E adapter.

Any ram I ever had with Infenion chips sucked royally....
I`ll never buy anything that says Infenion on it again
