The full test of memtest really doesnt tax your memory much. Its only test 5 that really pushes it.
Try looping test 5 for 30 minutes then touching the memory with your finger :p. Mine got to 62c after 15 minutes before I chickened out and heatsinked it. That was at only 2.8v and DDR466 btw...
If you can show me a photo of memtest having run at that speed for 2 hours looping test 5 without errors I will be very impressed :D.

yes, it's a cool idea but it is much expensive... if it costs ~20$ it can be a good toy to play with, but 39$... for 39$ you can buy a good cpu wb, that is sure more complex & efficient...Quote:

I heard those blocks for your ram suck, they totally screw up your waterflow wich isn't too good... i wouldnt pay anything for some sinks anyway... i'm sure you can reach 200+ FSB without all that stuff..... waste of your money i'd say... maybe it just looks cool...
I don't know about you guys, but my OCZ PC3200 and my Samsung DDR400 have heatspreaders that only make contact right under the clips. It's kind of disappointing. I wonder what would happen if you put some pressure on the middle of the heatspreaders......
So far with My MSI Nforce2 board.....alll stock voltage.....fully stable , play games all day on this.

Here is what Aceman and I were able to get on my Abit NF7-S with one 512MB stick of XMS3500 at 2.8v. BIOS Settings were 9.5x237-Cas2-5-2-2 with CPU interface enabled. When we have more time, we will power it with much more CPU speed. Sorry for the large image.

Hipro, great score witht the Kingston, I'm prttey sure that they used the latest stepping revB. 6ns chis..which performs amazing ;)
Clad DVD XP to rip the vob files and audio
DVD2AVI @ high priority to create a d2v file
TMpegenc @ high priority to rip to mpg/mp2, mux and cut.
Takes hours, but as bigtoe said to me, you get an end product as well as burning in your memory and cpu, so its much better than running say memtest or sandra loops. May as well be productive if youre going to use all those cpu cycles. It seems pretty damn good at burning in the memory.

news form my a.data memory stick... i have finally heatsinked the stick, but the memsink i used seems to haven't a total contact with memory chips, howether i have gained 1 more mhz ;)
ah, always at 2.96-7v at 2-5-2-2 (seems that cas2 works 1% better in efficiency than cas2.5, strange under intel chipset...)

i get 1820 unbuff. score (like yours) at 464mhz with a stick of sams pc2700 timings 2.5-6-2-2, but the buffered in this condition were only ~3650..
so, or the unbuffered test you run were a bit unlucky, or probably that unbuffered test isn't so reliable, like all sandra tests.... :rolleyes:
if i'm in fault please let me know, possible that i misunderstand a thing...
PS: possible unbuff test is strong timings dipendent... yeah, this could be a right thing :D ;) but i remains too much timings dependent, not?

i think to buy a 4pea, my it7 max2 v2.0 has 197mhz fsb limit... a great limit for my 1600 that seems to fly with this board (VS the older IT7 that i'd fryed, gained 30 more mhz and full stability VS no stability at all!!!! with IT7 1600@3130 unstable, with IT7 MAX2 V2.0 1600@3160 stable for s.pi & 3dmark, but can't go any mhz highter... :( )
but have you modded your older IT7 to get 3.44v or have you only raise +3.3v line?

What PSU do you use and what is the mod for the 3.3v line?
Im looking for a new PSU and a moddable 3.3v line is a must have. Theres been too many times when ive wished I had more juice on the 3.3 line for me not to have it adjustable anymore.
How did the memtest go btw? :)
Sandra unbuffered is the biggest steaming pile of rubbish ive ever seen. It calculates THEROETICAL bandwidth and not actual bandwidth. Even says it does in the help files. Timings make the same mb/s difference in unbuffered as they do buffered - a bit of a joke when you consider your buffered strating point is usually double your unbuffered score at least.

I use an ENERMAX 550 Watts PSU....It has no trimmers inside it to "play" with.....I had to "play" with resistors in parallel with some PSU's resistors to get more Voltages......Quote:

I didn't have time to test Memtest-86(lot of work these days)....I'll try it in a few days with my new IT7-Max2 V.2 one.....I'll Modd it first and I'll give it a shot..... :D
Adata ram is fine for ddr500 but not good on bandwidth, I found this months ago when i first hit ddr500 with it.Check out my sammy ctl at 2.5,7,2,2 enhance ddr482...much faster!!

V-Data PC2700 (same as A.Data) with V-Data 6ns chip 2-5-3-2 2.96-7v, not bad for a PC2700 stick, think that with more voltage can do better ;)
