Excellent work as usual Fugger :toast: I'm with leviathan18, maybe some dice or ln2 on NB and SB.
Can't wait to see more

100W from just the MOSFETs? Holy crap thats crazy! Insane stuff, and one awewsome bit of cooling there, -100C under 400W loads. Sweet.
G
I was thinking the same thing. Very impressive Chilly1 cascade ;)
the -104c cascade probably causes enough cooling that the pcb of the board is keeping the mosfets somewhat cool. I'd watch their temps, though..
Fugger you can always try our technic to cool down hot mosfest - a spare Vapo in it ;) like me & Ricky have done :DQuote:

I have a cascade for chipset that did not make it back from dallas intact.
We will get it fixed and installed. I hate the loops for mounting instead of the thru holes.
I see that you also do the same thing I do with cooling the hot spot on the ati cards.
Late night chats ;)Quote:

That CPU is probably the biggest power-hog EVER to be ran in a x86 PC. The way the cascade handles it really shows GREAT performance. Nice going FUGGER :)
You should try soldering extra mofsets over the excisting ones and add some caps in parallel too. The board is really holding you back.
28secs CINEBENCH !!!!
need to say more?... this is pure powah!...
Nice scores indeed!
Where did you get the 840 from? Been looking every day - but nobody seems to have it yet. Straight from Intel? I assume you can't change the multiplyers on it?
does the 955 chipset come with OC lock?
I believe it's at...30% or 40%. Either way, much higher than with the 915/925Quote:

Ah, this CPU I would love to get - however the fact that a decent cascade is necessary for any performance is pretty sad - A Vapo LS would have OC trouble I'm pretty sure :(
Anyways very sweet results! :toast:
was this done with the ocz 600W in your sig? I am helping a friend build a computer, and am just deciding on what PSU to use. were gonna use it for video editing with adobe premiere, and some gaming on the side...and maybe OC it once i save up some money and get a vapor cooler. :woot:
I think the 600W wasnt enough for this, I think more PSU's were used :)
ah yes, i'm interested to know what psu is beeing used here as well... a m8 is buying a dual but he has a tagan 480w... how long that one will stand with overclocking to the max?
Mr. Fugger? :D
well my friend wont be doing too much overclocking, since hes too much of a little girl to do water cooling, let alone phase change, so hes gonna have that dual core 3.0 Ghz under a 120mm zalman. i just need to find a PSU thats capable of running such a hungry system (maybe with some mild OCin), especially if he ever upgrades to SLI, and yet somewhat affordable. maybe PCP&C 510SLI?
sorry for the off topic crap up there, but maybe once i save up and get a vapor unit, he'll let me borrow his cpu and maybe i could use it to get 5 ghz too :D
:woot:
'grats FUGGER
great stuff

Getting setup for another round in the next day or so.
may the power be with you
btw, what sort of psu is suitable for a dual core?
Looks like I have to prepare A64 X2 then :)Quote:

 dual core cpu ? can you change the multiplier on it ?? :) it would be nice to see
please response
