At 2.9V UTT isn't supposed to do 2-2-2-X, which is why OCZ VX is rated at 2-2-2-8 at 3.2V, not lower. I'd say you're doing pretty well, so don't give up just yet. :)Quote:

booster would be my only option...i'm not too hot on soldering, and i'm planning on learning come the summer, until then i'll have to make do. You will definately need 3.0v+ to let this ram fly. The first day i got it i let it burn in at 3.1v at 200. Only after that i tried higher. 2-2-2-11 at 2.9v is actually very very good. Im sure you can hit higher with some more volt.
The best way to check is underneath the heatspreaders. On the bottom of each ram IC's there should be two metal dots. At least then you'll be 100% sure its UTT. (im already sure it is)
My modules max out at around 250fsb with 3.4v DC 1t. I tested them out on my friends DFI NF4 and they can do 260 max with 3.5v. 1mhz above causes instabiliy.
Ive just killed my Infinity (again) :( so im just gonna use my laptop until after my exams and then hopefully go NF4.

I only bought it because it was so cheap, and the chance to get bh-5, even stuff like this, was just too good to resist.
How come Geil state that 2.85v should be enough to get 2-2-2-11? Do they just not want sales of their Ultra lines eaten into by the value stuff?
I think that the UTT-BH dont need 3.2v to run 2-2-2. Just the UTT-CH need 3.2v to be able to run 2-2-2 @ 200.
well burn in doesn't seem to have helped, is more or less stable at 2-3-2-11, but can't get that mysterious 2-2-2-11 yet. Only did 12 hours of burning in today, so i'll just let it burn for ages, then give it some more goes at the weekend. For £60 though, 2-3-2-11@400 is good, and it's always possible it's just my motherboard being a gimp, thanks to CPC or 1t/2t or something.
hmm some OCZ Value VX coming out way here in down under.. should be interesting to see... might grab some and have a go at it :)

haha decided to try some overclocking tonight.
I don't think this stuff is bh, but it is good. Currently at 225mhz, with a 3400mb/s Sandra and 43s Spi1m. That's 12.5x225 (=2367) with vdimm of 2.6v, timings of 2-3-2-11. This stuff is pretty awesome, gonna see how much higher i can get it.

It errors at 2.9v, no matter the speed.
And my mobo maxed out (i'm fairly sure it is the mobo) at 235mhz, still 2-3-2-11 timings.
Now it's the morning, and my room has warmed up, i need to drop it down to 220mhz to be stable, but i think the NB needs better cooling than it currently has.

This Geil value UTT seems quite good, Tom Vercetti, those are really nice results especially for NF2. I ordered some more recently for my friend as well, amazing, his sticks max out at 260 DC 2-2-2 with something like 3.4-3.5v. :banana:

I think the point is that the serial number HAS to be GE1GB3200BHDC with 1075-SN500xxxx on the sticker.
TBH, specs released by manufacturers producing UTT mem usually aren't very accurate of the actual product - nothing has been speed binned. If its UTT it can do 2-2-2, if its something else than its prolly cr*p, 3-3-3 stuff. Thats it ;)
