My bad, on the earlier comments :D , anyway the 3300+ part is actually an athlon 64, and not a sempron, but its a 64 with 256 kb L2 that does run at 2.4 ghz at default. Oh, and the processor are turning up at buy.com now as well, and I have a way of getting them about $20 cheaper then buy.com prices :)

just thought i would add i can hit like 2.6ghz with my 2800+ 35w mobile with newcastle core with like 1.6 volts. my board conks out any higher, so these 90nm should be very tasty.

mine is the 130nm version. and i doubt thats the top clock for my chip, because regardless or volts, multi's, ratio's, timmings, or anything my dfi wont go over 295htt even with like 5X multi. so imagine what a better clocking 90nm core with improved mem controller can put out? im thinking like 3ghz. anyone know what multi the 2800+ oakville uses?Quote:

Then again stepping and week is just a hint of overclocking potential and is not the be-all end-all. I'll wait for results, but I'm not too optimistic.
There's a guy on AnandTech that supposedly got 2.5GHz at 1.35v on his 3000+ Oakville. He didn't post a stepping/week, but I've asked him to PM me with more info on the chip.
I've got a 90 nM sempron and a msi neo plat that both should arrive today :), hopefully I have the time to play around with it.
Best thing is
the sempron cost $60 for retail box and the msi neo plat cost $51

I'll wait until I see P95 stable for 24+ hours. I've seen people boot into Windows and run benches at high speeds, but have to sacrifice a couple hundred megaherts for complete stability.
Looks like a good start, though. Mine won't even get into Windows past about 2.4GHz even with 1.6v. :)

BTW, tried prime at the settings I made the screen with. It instantly quit. So, either my RAM was crapping out, or the CPU. We'll see. I think it's the CPU, though.

There was a guy on AnandTech that got 2.5GHz (!!!) at 1.35v on his 3000+ Oakville. P95 stable too. I'm guessing the lucky punk got one of those week 47-49s that have been hitting 2.7-2.8GHz.
