Just downloaded, went fine.

I tried D25 ver. 2.0.06C 3.19 Bpl Romsip Fire 23.08.2004
And this is my sandra cpu score...

With my old bios (D25 rev.2.0.1C 03.08.2004 Cpc Off 3.19 Bpl by -=Merlin=-) my score was:

Same bios settings, in memory, multiplier, fsb, etc. But now i needed less vcore.
Cheers
does anyone how these bios' do with boards that favor the d10?
my friends out poland that tested

http://mavers.w.interia.pl/BANDWIDTH...ual-CPC_ON.gif
My board is now maxed out at a pretty stable FSB of 235MHz. I tested with my bro's PC4000 just to make sure.
Gotta do a VDD mod. LOL! Thanks for the awesome BIOSes, Merlin!
Merlin.. there's a web with a complete study of memory timings... i saw the same images... do you have the url?? please.Quote:

Ho stable is this bios, Games are crashing on me, and I'm thinking that it is my bios because I have just recenly changed itand that is about when it happened.
::EDIT::
I just flashed successfully, hopefully this will help my stability.
Merlin... please take a look at this:
I tested two bios
a) Merlin's D25 ver. 2.0.06C 3.19 Bpl Romsip Fire 23.08.2004
b) Abit's NF7D_25
The System setup was:
200 x 12= 2400 MHz
vcore= 1.775 (bios screen)
vdimm= 2.8
vchipset= 1.7
Memory timings= 6 3 3 2.0
Cpu interface enabled
With abit bios I was unable to reach stable 2500 or 2600 MHz configurations, using fsb 200, no matter the vcore. So i decided to run the tests using only 2400 MHz.
Here are the results:
a) http://img43.exs.cx/img43/2991/Merli...6C_2400.th.jpg
b) http://img43.exs.cx/img43/9131/AbitD25_2400.th.jpg
Now I'm waiting for a working mirror with the CPC ON version of Merlin's bios, in order to run the same tests.
Cheers
EDIT:
I found a mirror... i did the test a few minutes ago...
And this is the result...
c) D25 ver. 2.0.06 3.19 Bpl Romsip Fire 23.08.2004
http://img19.exs.cx/img19/2205/Merli...06_2400.th.jpg
Now i'll test how far can i go with this bios.
Cheers
Just signed up to say thx to Merlin for making some excellent Bios's! I'm originally from FM forums, but have been reading here more often since everyone seems to be alot smarter and technical.
I thought it was just my ram holding me back at 220fsb, but I tried Merlin's BIOS D25 (the on on front pg) and it got me to 233!
I would love to be able to try the other bios's but the links are all down. I have 6gb transfer/month and 500mb of space, so I can host if you want. Just email me: usnavyf14pilot@woh.rr.com, or hit me up on aim: usnavyf14pilot.
I found some mirrors that were working over at PCPerspective forums, and I am hosting it myself now:

Is it possible to make bios for NF7-S with support of mobile athlons?
I have mobile barton, but not with yours bios nor abit original bios I can't change multiplier on mobile barton cpu.
Please make such a bios!
As I understand the problem is that nforce2 based mobos does not support FID_Change_detect feature.... or maybe I'm wrong, I'm not a professional in this area.
P.S. Your bios is great... with your last D25 2.0.06C I can reach 210 MHz, sync, dc, with timings 2-2-1-2 !!!
Its works for my mobile 2500+
sajko
hmm... do you have original mobile cpu or you modified desktop athlon to mobile athlon? I have the last... and my mobo can work with such "mobile" athlon, but it can't change multiplier...
sad...
very sad...
looks like a great job and some excellant documentation.
The ROMSIP appears to be identical to HellFire's (DFI Forum name) Rev #2 for the DFI boards. His was called the "fired" bios and yours is called the "fire" bios. Lot of DFIers have had great success with his mods. Glad this is helping you guys.
Is there any connection or collaboration between you or is this just a coincidence?
Merlin isn't HellFire is he?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I have original mobileQuote:

whoa I had real expectations of this bios. I thought it would help me break the magic 250fsb barrier! My current rekord stands at 246 and at 247 the computer is still working tho it's slowing down. You may move the mouse cursor around and after a few sec it starts moving. Has anybody any idea why?! Please tell if you've seen anything like it because I want to get over the 250fsb barrier! :D
Anyhow this bios made my computer hang at 246 as usual then I restarted the computer and it woulden't pass 235. And I got really lousy superpi score with it. Could also be the alpha timings I've set. More to come tomorrow!
And great work with the bios Merlin! I'm going to give it a second try later :) see if the work pay off for me :) Good luck with any new bioses!

I can't download any of those yet... I'll try again later. Thanks for pointing out that huge list, Blander!
You got it right, my friend. Hellfire already asked him for some credit cause he did the REAL HARD WORK!!!! But seems he (Merlin) is ignoring him and his questions... go figure.Quote:

Hellfire is "tegflyer" here cause he could not use a name similar to a mod here (Hell-Fire) :)
