I was an Intel fan until the P4... I wanted to take a step UP in performance, not down.
I WAS an INTEL Fanboy,
Then my P4 Died, and I said......"ENOUGH!"........:(
My FX-53(939) and A8V will be here Shortly!:D
cant wait to see some scores after you slapped that cascade on it!!!! :toast:
Thanks, saaya
Neither Can I!
 .........................:toast:
charlie, did you buy some more dry ice already? is the board waterproof yet? :D
this sounds like a fun week! :D
Saaya,
I'm just waiting on some things...
Will probably be about a week until I get my re-programmed BH-5 back, and I need a Vid Card. I probably won't even install this little gem again until she has a x800xt in her agp slot :D
When I DO get the mem back and the x800xt, I'll go straight to DI benching and shoot for about 13 x 255 = 3315mHz, 1:1, 2-2-2-5-7-16 1T, 1000HT, and about 750/650 on the x800xt.
If i have to, I'll put Win2K in, but I really HATE it... much prefer the easy setup of WinXP. In fact, I probably won't even make a post about the bench session unless I can pull in 36K/17K+ scores... anything less and peeps would just be disappointed :(

here she is, lonely and bored...........
ahhhh.......... the life of an Overclocker CPU..........
99% of life in the anti-static pack, 1% under -40C temps wih 2V being shoved up 'yer arse.

:slobber: Can't wait for results charlie,
I'll be following This Closely, I need All The Help i Can Get.;)
:comp10:
bahhh, help......
with -100C cooling, you won't need HELP, the FX will jump up by itself and pass 3gHz.........
C
she looks happy to me charlie :D
just look at how some people treat their cpus: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...threadid=37808
^^
charlie, have you thougt about what i said? about circulating dry ice chilled coolant through a waterblock? would get you closer to cascade-like temps!
and please post your results and pics, even if you dont break any recoreds! the pics and numbers will still be impressive! :)
...and im sure you WILL break records :D im sure you can bench at 3.5
Saaya,
I've actually thought about the chilled liquid thing....Like filling a cooler with DI and coolant and pumping it.....
Don't think it'd work well though... if you were lucky and used a lot of tech, it'd be AS COLD as using a direct contact container.... and lOTS of work :D
The trend right now is building better and better containers...
C
well those italian guys who tried it had great results with it afaik. they used LN2 but theres not really a big diference.
yeah the trend is to build better and better containers, and what is everybody trying? a better contact between the coolant and the base, and can you think of a better way that circulating the coolant above the base? the faster it moves the more atoms have contact with the copper atoms of the base, wich means better cooling.
i think its worth a try. basically all you need is a pump that can stand those low temps, all other parts can be of a regular watercooling kit
The ultimate system would be a LN2 container with a large LN2 tank with transfer line... just open the valve allowing a dribble into container...set it, ignore it and bench!
