These Bios versions are for NF7/NF7-S 2.0 boards. There is no official Bios25 yet for Version 2.0 NF7(-S). Bios25 is a bios for NF7(-S) Version1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. ;)Quote:

could you make a BIOS version exactly the same as this, EXCEPT with Command Per Clock Disable... I want to test if it helps my 1GB DC

You're right. Someone told me there is one for NF7-S 2.0 and I believed :D

Can you answer - will there be problems if I have a mobile but my L12 is already done physically?
not from my experience... I ran D24_ED_C18, which also has the built-in L12. My mobile is L12 modded to 166FSB and it didn't matter... still worked perfectly.Quote:

3d fire rev 2 eliminated my l12mod! now i can just push as far as before the physical l12mod (231 with 2.1VDIMM) but it helped me to find out, that my 1700+ does 2640 primestable with 2.0Vcore and watercooling. 2536 is stable with 1.78V and watercooling.
but I did the l12mod for 1700+ only (just one wire alongside (right expression? :D ) the condensators)
Rabbi.... Tic'y sent me a D23-3D-R2-cpcoff version. It works great! I popped it in a buddy's system , he was limited to 200Mhz 11,3,3,2.5 with 1Gig CH5 (HyperX3500) and VIOLA! 220Mhz 11,2,2,2 with this bios. Im sure it can even go faster but he needs stability more than max speed.
As my board likes D10 better, Im still on Trats D10-cpc319 version.
My BH5's are at 220Mhz 11,2,2,2 but in DFI LPuB they do 245Mhz 11,2,2,2 so there is still alot of room for improvement on the ABit end.
Though I hope Tic'y can get a D10 plain Mikeypadge with cpc off.
I think the ORIGINAL only D10, with cpc off, and (mize-well) sata4247 would be the best for my system.
Many thanks again to Tic'y and Trats.
uwackme
is this what you mean?
I'm 100% stable at 11.5x228 2-2-2-11 with this one. 230FSB is almost there but blue screens every few hours... haven't tried 229 yet.Quote:

D23 3D-FIRE Reversion 2, does it work, any screenshots with high FSB:D
Well my buddy Tony with 1Gig KHX3500 was stuck at 200Mhz 11,3,3,2.5 until the D23-3D-R2-CPC, now he is 220Mhz 11,2,2,2 and has room to go up, left it real conservative cause he hates crashes :D
emmm.. have u tested D24 Soft Ice yet.... ? :(
a funny thing has happened to my board
ive spent the last few days flashing all sorts of different cpc off bioses from the modbios 1-3 then d10 all of them, played alot of memtest with vdd from 1.6 - 2.0v with a vdd modd
yesterday i decided to remove the modd to test with lower vdd
guess what?
my vdd is permenently overvolted and i cant seem to get the original values
my 1.4 gives me 1.51v
1.5 gives 1.65v
1.7v gives 1.87v
i have no idea how I did this
but i figure another flash may fix it
but I havnt done so yet
I dont know why you guys have problems running 2x512 sticks on your nf7's because my board can run 222fsb 2-2-2-5 without any problems . I have tested this with memtest and passed 10 loops without a singel error. My NF7's rev2 is one year old so im guessing that all new boards are crap for now and forever.
Some people consider 222fsb 2-2-2-5 to be a problem ... :) But these old NF7s indeed are something special ;)
My VDD is overvolted as well, but I used a pencil :p:
Well, the "good" set of 2x 512M in my NF7-S does 225Mhz 3D stable, 11,2,2,2 cpcoff. D10-4247-cpc319 bios from Trats.
Same ram in DFI board does 250Mhz 2D, 230Mhz 3D....250Mhz 3D (single channel each stick alone).
There is "something" in the timings in the bios code (not something we get access too) that pisses off the AGP accesses at high FSB in dual channel. Single channel no problem, but dual ugh.
I just have the feeling it is a small timing issue that a tweak in the settings could fix, but we have NOONE in the world working on it at the OEM's or NVidia.... they have moved on to A64land, etc.
Oh well.
Have your guys tried to raise the AGP voltage when ocing??? I believe it helps alot when comes to stablity of the total setup.
Virus, what RAM are you running?Quote:

I think there are a select few mem brands that don't suffer this issue as much... I've tried 4 mushkin BH5 sticks and 3 cosair BH5 sticks, all PC3500, and the cosair consistantly outperformed the mushkin by a nice margin...7-15MHz

Im using regular NF7s bios and im doing 222fsb 2-2-2-5 , 12x222fsb with my mobile 2600xp.......
interesting you say that, I'm running 2x512MB XMS3500C2PT (BH5) myself @ 11.5x228 2-2-2-11 100% stable with CPCON D23_3D_R2 on a brand new NF7-S (blue dimms etc)... I tried trat's D24_ED_C18_CPCOFF and got no benefit so I'll check out tictac's D23_3D_R2_CPCOFF tonight in the hopes it gives me an improvement...Quote:

Yes, on stability testing, as I push it, I go till I have a problem, then I stay there and diddle every setting one at a time, through the entire range (of what would make any sense). So I tried all AGP settings, Vagp, 8x 4x fastwrite on/off, SBA on/off and AGP latency. None made a difference to what is happening now for me.... only FSB matters. Go over a certain point and 3D fk's up, but none of the "diddle-able" things makes it any better.
This is all at the upper limits on a DFI LPuB.... I aint got an NF7 that can be of help in this top end stuff.
D23_3D_R2_CPCOFF and D23_3D_R2_CPCON perform exactly the same in terms of FSB for me, but D23_3D_R2_CPCON scores ~400 points more in 3DMark.
Maybe it's not related, but the majority of people having success with NF7+2x512+Tight Timings are using Cosair BH5... there could be something in it.
Now unless another breakthru is made the only option left for me is to bite the bullet and buy a PCI SATA card so I can use the D10 variants...

Its funny but the exact way that the rams are connected on the sticks could always be slightly different on the Corsairs. Wonder if they hocked up some address/bank select bits slightly differently.
Guess we'd have to trace out the stick-vs-chip signal connections to verify they were the same as say a Kingston.
Also, maybe Corsair used more caps, and difference resistor layouts to improve stability.

D23 3D R2, D24 ED, D24 ED C18... all have built in 200FSB L12 mod. Your CPU wont show up as that, but it WILL use the 200FSB chipset timings ;)Quote:
