I have black PCB, whats diferent?
mine is old sample with green pcb , BBSE can run 7-8-7 but not +2300
ive got 2 kits, 1 green pcb and 1 black pcb.
as far as i can tell here are the differences.
1. The obvious, green vs black
2. The silk screened markings on the pcb at the outer edges on the sides.
3. The tiny almost invisible numbers when looking at the back of the sticks.
a. The black sticks' number is on the right side and it is a 6
b. The green sticks' number is on the left side and its an 8
considering on the front of the green pcb you can see 1, then 2 at 2nd layer it seems to indicate how many layer pcb. so green MIGHT be 8 and black MIGHT be 6
also, the green sticks clock better for me. both sticks in the kit out perform the black ones.
Yes, the small 6 and 8 indicate the number of PCB layers. :)
Interesting to see they used a cheaper PCB for the ( more recent?! ) black version.
green pcb feb 2011
black pcb jan 2011
heatsinks/pad not in contact with chip LOL
wow, now I put this Gskills in to the Thuban, looks good :)

try it at 5ghz ...
lots of 5ghz runs here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=264837
He wants to see your efficiency with 6-8-6 Hiwa :)
THC also got a kit in and did some initial testing 6 9 6 ~

keep pushing it
Just got another set of the 8-9-8 and they are green pcb, testing later tonight. . .
32M is nice, but not about stability...Better is hyperpi32M or some burn test...
Or do some HCI Memtest, probably sure it will fail :p Them "show of" timings are great for benching, for daily stability it will fail for sure...
Also 6 min 25 at 5.6Ghz is appalling no matter what Maxmem tells you... even a non tweaked run is at 6 min 5-8 secs with rams just at 2133Mhz CL7
Checks, 8 layers GREEN PCB 8-9-8 kit
The 2300 7-10-7 kit shown at CeBIT was from 2011Feb, with 8 layers GREEN.

oh sorry but i really no have time to optimize OS and benching 32m anyway my tests are all without any tweak and run directly 32m after load os
and BINGO !!! 2050 6-8-6-20 wasn't hard to run this is my max cpu bclk as we can see memories are at 1.72 so we are cpu limited and not memories

Who needs hyper if you have thát kind of PSC. Impressive stuff, Hiwa!
with 1.72V looks good
