Solved yesterdays leaks with a bunch of "goop." Messy job but when the product is called "goop" whata expect :) Setup a leak test again, and failed but not quite as badly :D

The Barbs to PVC leak in about 50% of the connections. I was feeling so good about these connections earlier, even bragging how well the barbs self-taped right into the PVC for suuuuch a tight connection :rofl:. Suites me right. Tomorrow night I think i'll unscrew the barbs, 2 part epoxy the threads and then screw them back in and then "goop" around the outside of that. That ought to seal things up for a bit :D

I only had enough hose screw clamps to run two pumps which just ain't enough to get great flow through this system. 1 pump and the system won't flow, 2 and I get some flow but its not overpowering or that impressive. I think with all 5 or a 6th added and flow should be very good, even with the CPU blocks (or so I hope :cool:)
Installed Ubuntu Server a Linux box last night, Its working well... Same results with the CEP2 project as any other Linux setup I've tried which was expected. Ubuntu desktop was super easy to setup (no setup needed acctually, just apt-get and the entire bloated gnome system installs :rolleyes:) I have to figure out how to turn off alot of this crap now that I don't need; Ubuntu config files are completely not what i'm used to having some experience with BSD or more BSD like linux systems :shrug:. I also feel retarted because I havent' been able to configure X11VNC to be able to connect with UltraVNC. The rest of my fans showed up tonight, so now all I need is some more tubing and hose screw clamps from home depot and probably more tubing. Waterblocks are due to arrive Wednesday and thats the last parts I need, its just all assembly work from here on out; no more construction. I'm thinking i'll buy cheapo pieces of window glass to put on my metal shelves to insulate the motherboards. Precut sheets of glass are very cheap at HD and glass is non conductive and non-flammable.

What the :banana::banana::banana::banana:? What the hell and I suppose to power a power supply with if they don't include a power cord??? (and of course no mention of this on the egg :down::down:

That newegg link doesn't work, says the product is deactivated. If you bought the eco or earthwatts series (like i did) then under the "details" tab it says, "No power cord included. By reusing your existing cord, you can reduce waste and help protect the environment."....
....unless you buy five of them then you need power cords lol

Why not the Earthwatts 380W? Bronze rated and $29.99 after rebates. Get five of those instead of the ones you ordered and you save like 100 bucks, and they are actually green, too:D.

Thanks for the tip; I didn't see the 380w because I searched 400w - 450w 80 Plus on the egg. I'm sure I'll need more PSU's in the future. I haven't counted up what I have CPU, Mobo, Ram, PSU, HD wise. But I know i'm still short on a bunch of those components. I think I have more CPU's than everything else.
Hey trn do you need power cords? I have a crapload of them. Just pay postage is all I ask.

Ah yes.. things were going too smooth until now :) Some 2 part Epoxy and all my leaks are gone. Got all 5 pumps hooked up and.... and.... Ugh... bad flow rate!
I think a big part of my problem was my return reservoir being too high and the 655's not having enough head pressure for the job.

This will move the return reservoir down ~3' and put less back preasure on the pumps which should help my sub-loops flow better. Right now, I get mediocre flow through the entire system but some of the sub loops have terrible or zero flow.
The tubing in my test was a mess because I didn't want to cut down the tubing yet. I also though the excessive messy tubing would fill in for having 3 Enzotech Sapphires in each loop.

Well thats it for now. CPU blocks should be showing up tomorrow but I need some serious loop reconfiguring before i'm ready for that. If my loop reconfiguring fails... not much else I can do at this point other than upgrade the pumps.

Would it be possible to add more pumps instead of replacing them?
ever thought of using a pool pump to add some head pressure? Putting it in series would give some good results I think... Put the return reservoir at even height with the boards and then use a pool pump to return and push it through the rads?

You'd have to be careful not to have too much pressure in the system. CPU blocks etc aren't designed to cope with anything like the 30PSI a pool pump can push.
I assume you've already checked to make sure that your radiators don't have a blockage of some kind?
not sure about it, but maybe a few things,
1st, the outtake of the reservoir is quite large isn't it? you can set it maybe a bit smaller to keep pressure with a tighter pipe (maybe 1/4") and some expanding adapter to fit with the screwing.
2nd, these are huge radiators, they can probably take 4 CPU's with ease each and squeezed to 5, it takes some more looping for the fluid to go through so weakening the effect of the pumps.
3rd, the heated water coming out of the blocks should create more pressure then the cooled one's, that's maybe a point to consider.
last thing is the pipes, shorter they are, less is the friction and the distance the pumps need to push the water mass/weight, so it should build up some pressure as well.
you can maybe add a pull pump at the outtake going to the rads.
