They need a 470 in there too.
Well pretty much the 4870X2 is around a single 5870 in terms of performance... closer to behind the 5870 because of driver support and having to have a crossfire profile. The 4890 is an overclocked 4870, so its like 10-15% faster than a single 4870 which is still not equal to a 4870X2 so I think you could derive a conclusion from there.
Anand had some 4870x2 numbers (iirc, read a few..). Looks 4870x2 pulls ahead of the 5870 now a bit with newer drivers more often than it used to. Could just be the review(s) too though.
Either way, 4870x2, 5870, gtx480 all hit in the same area until memory or shader constraints..
funny, i havent came across any reviews ... with the ECC RAM mentioned ....
ECC supposed to be one of the selling points .... anyone got review links which mentioned ECC?
man, i was expecting 480 to topple 5970 ... but instead .... whatever
Any thoughts to whether these benchmarks are forced DX10 for comparison?
Performance is what I expected... but the temperatures omg...
Definitely not bang for the buck
Huge die size, even bigger power draw and sizzling temperatures.
Im sorry but this card is a FAIL.
HD 5870 here I come!
Anyone notice the near linear scaling with SLi in Anands review?
