Cele: omg, this is crazy...big as one half motherboard :). Ufff. But its true, to time it is the best aircooler. Maybe for Bulldozer in my next step :)

No problem man, but there is no sense in monitoring load outside computer case so I'll check temps once the cooler is mounted in closed case and see the height...
Real gain is 8mhz better memory frequency with Gigabyte comparing to Big Typhoon but mostly, I'm just fooling around with capturing the most coolest screenshot with open window at night...
Check out this screenshots, of course they are only screenshot stable but they look crazy anyway :D :D

cool!
15 Degrees @ 4.5mhz :D
what's your Bios reading & ambient temp there?
Is that with the thermal paste that comes with the Noctua NH-D14?
Cele: uffff, great...what about max stability with normal ambients?
:D
Ambient temp is around 7°-8°C at night, temps in bios are around 32°C when benching
No, I always use Spire BLUEFROST, very cheap but excellent paste

Like I said, there is no point to stress cpu outside computer case and with cold air, :) when I mount it in and close the rig I'll show some 24/7 temps
this thing has a HUGE box hahaha, got one for my friend

 Enjoy man! And yes, the box is so huge! :D
This is link to great test with Intel i7 960 from PCAXE guys with idle and load temps, it is local language but results page speaks for it self so good to see... When I saw it I decided to go for Noctua
noctua-nh-d14-vs-prolimatech-megashadow
Tomasis, 160 x 140 x 130mm are official dimensions and measured 1240g in test with both fans!
hm, what do u think about max safe voltgae with AIR for only validation. For 24/7 i using at one profile 1.536V. Ideal is for me profile with 1.375V and 3820MHz/2620NB stable
what do u think about this RAMs?
zeppelin. Or i can using this only 2x1 GB :(
Cele
Wow, this is a giant monster & it wroks great
Need strong fan ?
FlanK3r
Ever try A-Data 1333 2Gx2 D9KPT ? It's less than USD85 & think ok for daily use & OC if tighter CL is not expected
http://i967.photobucket.com/albums/a...-DataD9_03.jpg
thx MAD, how much voltage for this setings?
It is great but still I can't beat my older air results with Big Typhoon at -5°C :( But overall, difference is 6-8°C beetween them and memory goes 8mhz higher in CL6 with Giga (4x2) and that's all, no other improvements worth mentioning
I use one strong fan, that white one on the pic, it is from Gigabyte 3D Galaxy II, very bad watercooling kit but great 2500rpm fan for adding more boost to air cooler, I need one more for outside, and some aggressive instead of this original ones, they are great and low noise but I need something loud and powerfull :)
2.055v-2.07v for 1900 C7
anything lower than 1900, need much lower volt.
Of course, can't compare with Corsair 1600 C6 on the volt., but it's worth its' price though;)
m8, 2500rpm isn't bad @ all. I used to have 3 3800rpm delta for air cooling. My OC room @ home is as noisy as digging holes in a construction field.:D My kids complain all the times :shakes:
mad222: ok, very thanks, il find this at shops :)
mad222, haha delta :)
cel303, I think noctua d14 would be a nice improvement over my ninja2, wouln't it?
what do you think about 2x Scythe Kaze 3k rpm and Slipstream 140mm 1700rpm to replace those stock Noctua fans, if im ever gonna order d14 :D. I wonder if if the d14 without 140mm, only with 2x 3k rpm kaze would improve result?
6-8C temp difference is good enough for me to replace my old cooler.
Maybe it needs strong fans to beat Typhon at cold since Noctua Hs is huuuge?? Or blame it on design ?
mad:lol, delta fan...i have only 3000rpm ultra kaze for next build :)
@Mad222Quote:
A new model "XASXA" was sent to me for testig. It has 6 copper heat pipes, OTB fan with speed controller & enhanced outlook
Gonna try some serious torture tests for that HS..HeHeH
contemplating on trying out this out, did you "try some serious torture tests for that HS" :D
Here's another one, AMD Black Edition
Less voltage; a little more $

Want to find something quiet to replace Delta or some HS that needs no strong fan
Bettter not to use 3 Blade Delta....I almost cut my finger the other day:(
Oh, tell me about it....dude ! & 3 @ a time, need something to cover your ears
Not yet....been busy playing Intel:D
IDE is the same as my antique 120 ex though
Mad: whau, u are so lucky with great Phenoms. Btw, Ulra Kzae 3000rpm is a bit quiter :), only 46DBa :). I finally bought with good price RAM A-Data 2000X cl9 2x2GB. One day was good price and the next day half the expensive! Hope, 1700-1800 cl7 will realistic.
Cewle:whats new with your 965 and megacooling?:)
Bro. ok, I'll start developing my habit to run 32m....you know I'm lazy!:D
Anything new to play ?
I'm waiting for 6 cores & still working on PI WR.
Unfortunately, unable to solve the IMC cold bug problem
Some of my best chips died after LN2; just like intel 32nm...can you believe that !!!
So I've sent all my best C3 chips to the best of the best overclocker for dissection. Hope he can study them & find a solution to this porblem
Flankerp...so hard to find goooood 965 C3. Because of the $, retailers in my country dun sell them very well. So the import quantity is small:(
Hope Cele can do well on that :)
