R.I.P. I always wondered if people would find out if someone passes on a forum
I thought this might be appropriate and maybe generate some donations for Jon's daughter.. Before Thanksgiving, I sent Jon a $50 gift card for him and his Daughter for Thanksgiving.
And I am sending another $100 now to
this next quote is a pm I had with him on 11/14/2009Quote:
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a fund for his daughter, Annabelle Magoon Donation Account, care of Union Trust Co., 66 Main St., Suite 101, Ellsworth, ME 04605.
and just a little piece of Jon's recent history on this earth ....
He included a pic of his daughter.. Please help her out.

my condolences to you Jon. RIP
I did not have the chance to get to know loony better, but this is very sad news. My condolences to the family.
RIP loony.
Rest In Peace Jon... We will continue to fight this battle from down Here and You from up There!
*sigh*
Sad sad news, almost cried when I read it. I didnt know Jon much, only read his posts. But still, feel like i knew him. I hope the best for his doughter.
Well people, I hope we all know what we have to do. Its to late for Jon but its not to late for alot of other people, so...Its cruncy time!
Looney, mabye we will see each other on the other side. Rest in peace.
Good bye, dear buddy ;(
RIP
Brother.
I saw this yesterday already, but I did not know what to say, even now when I open this thread it brings tears to my eyes, and I'm usually not the guy who cries...
I think we all saw it coming, in his last PM he said he felt better after being sick for quite a while, but when he did not reply to my latest PM I started to worry. This explains it... :(
Bertolt Brecht once said: „Der Mensch ist erst wirklich tot, wenn niemand mehr an ihn denkt...“ ( "Man is only truly dead when no one thinks of him ..." )
Jon, you'll never be forgotten!
Rest in peace mate.
Very bad news :(
I hope his family and especially his daughter gets the best care in the world.
One of the coolest guys to post here at XS. Really sorry to hear this news.
Not the thing I would like to see. I wish for strength and luck to his family, especially little Annabelle. Will try to help
Rest in peace Jon, hope you will see Diamond Dimebag Darrel now mate !!
Rest in peace loonym.
I admired your optimism. I always wanted to PM you about it but, never mustered the courage....figured you had too much of your own crap to deal with anyway.
I am new to this forum but seeing the death of one so close to you saddens me:(
So, I have joined the WCG under the XS team, I am going to spread this to everyone I know.
Rest in Peace
Thanks Ransom. good to hear.
RIP Loonym - is there anyway someone can change his avatar caption from "between hell and nowhere" to something appropriate for what we know of him? His time in hell is over, and I'm happy for that.
It would also be cool to take up a collection to purchase his cascade and crunching gear and repurpose it somewhere (like Dave's place). I'm in for that, but if they want to keep that or that has already been arranged, I'll contribute to Annabelle's fund. Just seemed like there weren't going to be many others in his personal life that could use it - and somehow I really like the idea of XS WCG team carrying on his work (using his account). Anyone feel the same?
I didnt know him at all, but very very sad when a life is cut short, gone but not forgoten, God bless his family
Although I didnt know him well, I have seen many posts from him. Always as positive attitude and good demeanor despite what he was going through. He has now found rest and relief from his pain. My sincerest condolences to his friends and family. :(
Awful News...:(
Very sad to hear. Best Wishes to Annabelle.

RIP Loonym, he taught me how to do a BIOS flash and was an inspiring member of the team.
I would send money but I don't have a pay pal and my parents probably wouldn't let me.
Just when I thought my week couldn't get worse. This is a very sad day. I did not know Jon like many of you, but he has helped me out with advice many times. I even participated a little in the last donation.
Our prayers are with you and your family Jon. I did not know he was this close, I actually thought things were getting better, but I have been to busy to keep up.
I wish Jons family the best. You are in all our hearts Jon!
I never really spoke with Loonym but I have seen him around the forums for quite some time. He was a good person, always incredibly optimistic despite his condition. RIP Loonym.
