Nice pics. Now just waiting for some in action:)
Eddy, just so you know, you have the BEST looking boxes ever! They're AMAZING!
I'm sorry for the light conditions of the photo, I made them quickly this evening.
Why did I choose to use 2 pumps into my system? I why did I choose the Dual Top?
- redundancy: I have a monitoring for my watercooling system, software based but also controller based. Aquacomputer Aquaero full options (flow sensor, temperature sensor for liquid, components, ...). The controller is able to open the green cable of the 24pin ATX power cable (aditional option connected to the controller, that you plug between PSU and ATX connector on the Mobo), in case of emergency (you define alarm levels into the controller ). And to shut down the computer without any software agent running if necessary (pump failure, temperature that exceed defined alarm tresholds, ...). But... I'd rather like not to use this extreme safety solution and that's why I choosed to remove this single point of failure adding a second pump
- flexibility: I don't know for the moment if I want to setup a single or dual loop system. If you have any advice for this, you're welcome, I'll upgrade my existing watercooling loop this week, I'm waiting for 2 missing products that I'll receive on Wednesday. But anyway, there I can choose to have a single or dual output, and I like this flexibility (in case of... not sure it's really useful for me)
- design: hum... nothing very usefull but I don't like the stock top of the Laing D5 pump... it's horrible. I prefer the Acetal top, it looks better.
- integration: I want to remove the pumps from the pc chassis, and put the pumps externally in a dedicated and DIY chassis (maybe, I'll see). It's easier for me to use the mouting brackets delivered with the dual top than fixing two pumps separately
- fittings: I'm using 1/2 tubing... and... plug this tube on the Laind D5 stock ouput... it's very hard (need some hot water...). With the Dual Top I'll be able to use the EKWB 1/4-1/2 barbed fittings I really like to use. Easy to use, and safe for sure.
Why EKWB and not another product? Because until now I've ordered some products directly in Slovenia and I was happy with the price/quality balance, also happy with the contact with Eddy. So... except for the CPU Waterblock, I'm very satisfied with EKWB products. ;) I did not try all the products on the earth, for sure, I'm just giving you a small feed back.
Best regards ;)

Will be done this week, I'm waiting for the LINK option to fix the reservoir on the dual top, and also waiting for a new CPU Waterblock from Watercool (HK 3.0 Copper). Then I'll be able to compare my existing setup and the new setup.
For the moment with a single D5 pump, a EKWB Supreme on the CPU and a EKWB FC GTX285 Rev 2 on the graphic card, also a High Flow sensor and 2 inline temp sensor + a 480mm HardwareLabs Black Ice SR1 rad, and a EKWB Res150 rev 2 reservoir, I have a 250Liter/hour flow on a single loop. Tubing 1/2.
I'm curious to compare the flow with a dual D5, and to compare it with a dual d5 + dual top.
I can do it why not. Without any waterblock. I have to disassemble all the existing watercooling system (i change the tubes from white to black color). I can setup a testing configuration with 2x D5 + res 150 and the flow sensor connected to the Aquaero controller. Then compare it to a mono D5 setup. And finally compare it with a 2x D5 + Dual top + res + flow sensor.
As I have to make pre-production testing... I can do it, why not, I have old tube and special water for that. I don't promise that I'll do it, but I'll try. ;)
Two questions:
Pictures of the white version? (available at sidewinder, apparently)
Anyone have data on flow rates and maximum pressure w/ 2 DDC's w/ a dual top vs the same 2 DDC's in series? Skinnee has tested 2 w/ a dual top vs a single pump :(
Would love to see data w/ this product tho.
Thanks!
John
Here is the white version John.

Scaniris , nice pics, thanks for share .
I really do wish that I saw this before purchasing all the extra mods for my MCP-655. I would have just bought another pump and this top along with the res. It's very sleek and nice.
Dual 655s in 1 package + pump = sex
Hello,
I found a review that I saw in the past and that may answer some questions: http://www.skinneelabs.com/Pumps/D5/D5-Tops-main.html
Comparison between D5 with stock, or EKWB top (and with a Koolance pump) about pressure and flow.
But for the dual top I found nothing.
no anti cyclone on res eddy?
:( I thought I was done with D5's.
Maybe you could plug it ''reverse'' (not sure it's the right word in english to say what I mean...), I mean fix the reservoir on the dual top with the Multioption LINK, and on top of the reservoir, instead of fixing a reservoir top, you fix a reservoir bottom, available as spare part, and the anti cyclone on it.
Like this (from top to bottom):
Multioption Bottom (http://www.ekwaterblocks.com/shop/re...tom-rev-2.html ) > Anti cyclone > Multiption tube 10cm or more > Multioption LINK ( http://www.ekwaterblocks.com/shop/re...tion-link.html ) > Dual Top D5 or Dual Top DDC
I don't see any other way to use the anti cyclone, except with a X Res top for a single pump. Maybe it's a project to add a fixing point for anti cyclon on Dual Top?
But as said... why is it necessary (except for ''look and feel'' reasons or maybe ease of use when filling the loop with coolant) to use more that a small reservoir? I think that my current Res 150 is too much... a small reservoir is enough that's why I choosed the 6cm one for the dual top. Yes it's a little bit longer to fill the loop.
And if you are using a 6cm reservoir tube, I don't think the anti-cyclone option is really useful. I'll see it tomorrow. I'll take some pics because I also have a Res150 rev 2 reservoir with anti cyclone and I can test to mount the bottom with anti cyclone on top of the reservoir on the Dual Top D5. Why not. If I have some cyclone issues. I'll give you some feed back. And photos of the cyclon if I get one ;)
i didnt realize before but..now i look more u cant use the bitspower dressup kit with this top huh... :(
nice piece but high price
dingdong-thanks for the pics! that's great. got a black and white build going...
Are you going to be putting a Warranty void if removed sticker on all your blocks Eddy? I always open my blocks to check the oring and to clean. Even tho you have the new testing machine.
