Why have a ES and not use it 100%

I do not work for Intel, I am a IPD

meh an athlon fx is much better than even an unlocked p4ee :)
And you have done the tests to back this up?Quote:

Personally I think we could have seen 30k weeks ago, and not from AMD.
Alls fair!!!!
But let him hit the number 1 spot in 3dmark, with an other than what everyone else can get multi, can you will see the crying going on and cheating accusations.
but then his is not the only chip.
Would be nice to see what difference it makes with differnt mults even if he only posted his 3dmark scores in our forums.
But he know's what he's doing. Making it an even playing field.
Question is what would you all do. Yes or know if it would mean your name at the top of that list!!!!
if i had the chip, and it was unlocked, i would use it no doubt.
3dmark2k1 isnt about "fair", its about doing the best with what you have, not with what everyone else has...
I have played possum long enough with my DDR @ 220Mhz scores.
I am now posting lower multiples. Gonna finish FX and strap in the XT.
Well I wish he would post that score on these forums. He doesnt need to publish them on the ORB.Quote:

I would like to see what that ES can do against a STOCK FX.
AMD--Intel who cares.
Just pump 4.3v into the ram and run it 1:1 @ 290mhz+Quote:

:D
He has stated that they do nothing over 2.9v. They are not BH5 like you think.Quote:

:D
So get some BH-5's
He's running normal ram, not registered or ECC.
That's a new WR
always MEMESAMA

un-freaking-believable....if these guys benched 3D, and OC'ed their CPU's and GPU's with LN2 and tons of volts...
They'd make Opp and the rest of us top 5 look like kids playing in the sand box...
C
At first I saw the 5300+ then I was like wow, they beat macci by a bit...figured it was a 3.2c given the 16 multiplier.
Then I looked again......
.........It's a freaking 1.6!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMFG!
That's insane.
No. It's a 3.2EE, they have a bug in Wcpuid that shows it as a 1.6G... Notice the L3 cache....this means that obviously on LN2 you could bench a 3.2EE at 5Ghz for an easy 30.5K '01
C
Hm you're right it is bugged. They need to start using CPU-Z....WCPUID hasn't been updated since December 2002.
And it would do much higher than 30.5k. For my 2.4, a 600mhz overclock is worth 2000 points. Now, since things start to scale so fast up that high, PLUS the L3 cache as well, I wouldn't be surprised to see 32k out of it with max 9800XT clocks.
Damn those SL7AA's are screamers.
Side not from my testing, that bios rev 1007 is not EE ready and the L3 cache is sitting unused even though it is visible. I been there
That is helping the overclock to some degree. But still an awesome overclock.
where did you find that screeny?
where are these things posted first?
Am I reading your compare scores wrong...or, haven't you already used lower multi's??Quote:

dont be so sure, just cause they can get a screenshot at over 5GHz doesnt mean they can do 3dmark much past 4.5GHz. also ln2 tends to kill your hardware in a hurry. too expensive to kill stuff for a chance at more 3dmarks
Here's my experience with screenshots...
I got a screenshot of my FX-51 @ 3140, but ran 3D MArk at 2900.
My P4 Northie screens at 4.05gHz but benches at 3.75gHz...
So call it 93%??
5.3gHz screenshot = 4.9ghz bench....maybe not dead accurate, but darn close I bet...
C
probably, who knows untill those guys try it. have any of you had luck with ln2?
