Any of the IC7-Max3 issues?
if you mean by vdimm >2.8v all over the place then nope... vdimm and VTT are rock steady...
VTT is always 51% or more than what vdimm is set at
Offtopic but has the max3 issue of not being able to run anything but AUTO for the top GAT setting been fixed?
Seem the first lot of ram was better ram eva :thumbsup:
yeah OCZ PC3500 Platinum LE love GAT at the lower speeds
AI7 seems to be at least 0.10 - 0.15v more vdimm to do the same clocks as my memory could do on P4C800-E :(
2x 512MB Hynix PC3200 D43 on
P4C800-E rev 1.02 = 250mhz 3-4-4-8 at 2.85v vdimm
4PCA3+ rev1.1 = 250mhz 3-4-4-8 at 2.8 - 2.9v vdimm
AI7 = 250mhz 3-4-4-8 at 2.95v vdimm
How do benchies compare between P4C800-E and the AI7?
P4C800E will win easily because the AI7 is 865 and therefore doesn't implement full PAT.Quote:

what soulburner said... P4C800-E stock would beat AI7 stock, AI7's GAT if you can enable with your memory brand/speed then it's very close to P4C800-E benchies
only OCZ PC3500 Plat LE seems to support GAT
tried
ADATA PC4000
Hynix PC3200 D43
both don't like GAT
No special head, Vapo's use 2 gaskets, On goes under the Plastic stock p4 holds down, which is form fitter around the socket and retaining arm and 4 bolt holds.Quote:
Tedinde, what do you mean a custom gasket ? gasket = evap head equivalent for mach2s ?
The second on holds the heater element, and fits perfectly around just the cpu above the socket, Then the vapo head bolts down to it using the stock p4 retaining bracket.
Simple to make a new gasket, i've got some made for regular sockets. Buying them from Vapo is too expensive, like $34 for the kit, you have to buy all the bolts, heaters and everything just to get the gasket.
OCZ's are BH-5 sticks that's what i was using. Kingston BH-5 and some geil 3200 bh-5 i have also.Quote:

maybe AI7 just is new and needs a few more bios updates to tweak it's performance ?

Like i just said in the abit forums
But then the IS7 left home the same way at first.Quote:
The board should of left from Abit, for better tweaked performance, No way should a IS7-e be able to out do Abit's Overclocking uGURU 865 board, That's what it was made for??
time for us AI7 to bug Abit support/techs for better bios i think :D
I was able to run F1 instead of auto for the game accelerator
with what memory again ?Quote:

Im still not getting any amazing scores, I did try my good 1.6a in it that i use to run over 3ghz in my vapo, stable @ 2.8ghz with a zalman. Wish i had this board 2 years ago.
Maybe these are the 865 chipsets that intel wants with no "pat"Quote:

I dont care what CPU-z says enabled?? Im still getting 6-10% slower numbers than a IS7 on my same work table.
Hopefully the new IS7's and other 865's are oops ARENT!!! going to start running like this.
Why would we want that? :confused:Quote:

Malves i think he means IS7 run stable voltages like AI7 not the scores heh
That clarifies a little. But I am still confusing why we would expect the new IS7's (and others 865's) start coming with PAT completely disabled.
the expectation is due to Intel announcing such plans :(
i just found with my OCZ PC3500 Platinum LE DC memory, that AI7's dimm slots 2+4 oc further and better than dimm slots 1+3!
Any of you guys tested different dimm slots for AI7 memory ocs ?
fixed it, i meant Arent!!!Quote:

Hopefully this is just a AI7 small bug for now till a bios fix and intel hasnt locked anything out.
I might stock up on some IS7's now just in case. Got 4 new one's unopened 10 would make me happy.
mount the prommie!!!
eva, how is your OCZ LE treating you?
I'm waiting in a new kit from my RMA and I'm hoping to do better than the last lot, how well does yours run with 2-2-2 timings, and then with 2-2-3?
And taco, Yowza! :slobber:
st0nedpenguin, you mean 1GB OCZ PC3500 Platinum LE DCs ?
i found something really weird
AI7 dimm slots 1+3 suck but 2+4 are great for this memory
2+4 so far did 240mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.2v for memtest #5 225passes ~3hr loop error free
1+3 slots can't even do 234mhz 2-2-2-6 stable for 5 passes of memtest #5
have to retest to be sure it's the dimm slots
st0nedpenguin, are yours 2x 256 or 2x 512 ?
2 x 512Mb here too.
I had a shot at swapping mem slots myself on thi P4C800-E before the RAM went off on its RMA holiday, 1+3 would die in Prime95 after about 1-3 seconds, but it was good for a few minutes in 2+4, it's just like the NF7-S all over again.
dim slot 2+4 are surely much better for AI7
@ 240mhz 2-2-2-6 at 3.2v vdimm
GA = AUTO though
-> 10+ hrs prime stable
-> 225 passes of memtest86 test #5 ~3hrs 7mins running error free

taco, good god man.
who is that and where can i get more?
Oh yeah, at this point would you guys recommend an IS7-e or the AI7?
