That's cool, I have already read several different sources...
Nothing I've found so far indicates R/O is "superior", rather just another process that can be used independently, or in concert with other methods.

No municipal water in the world (no matter how advanced), is going to be in the same state it was when 1st distilled*, by the time it reaches one's tap.
So I can totally see how in your experience, R/O offers a substantial & measurable improvement over tap water.

So what sort of particulate measurements are you getting once done?
*one of the major plants where I live, actually uses R/O (amongst a few processes) to purify water before sending-it-out.

Agreed, I'm not suggesting R/O is not up-to-the-task.
Interesting post, wish I had such testing equipment at my disposal, would be fun!

So what IYO is the "low enough" threshold, & what do you base this assertion on?
2mS or less is plenty good?
