178W Windows idle, 324W BOINC, from the wall.
4 CPUs, 6 fans, 4 sticks of ram, SAS controller + HDD (~20W for storage subsystem), and an optical drive.
Not bad considering the CPU count, but not really low either.. about what I expected.
are you running them at just 1ghz. what a shame. is power measured with 1 or 1.9ghz?
Under load the CPUs will be clocked at 1.9 GHz, haschioz.

Anyway, it does seem to do pretty well in wprime :D

When my family was still running a pentium 3, I sent him an email with my PLL controller number and he put a few together. I never put effort into it cause I changed to bios modding, but it might still be worth a shot.

Sadly it would appear there's no direct I2C/SMBUS control on it (just basic pin driving, which would mean hardmods could be possible), so it must either be controlled through the chipset or other on-board logic. Are there any other chips that look like a PLL? There's the potential that this chip is being used as a buffer, given there are 4 cpus to feed with a clock and all.
None that I could find, no. But I will re-check tomorrow...
Chipset should be able to control it via nTune. The problem is just going to be getting nTune to work since nVidia isn't exactly first rate at software. heh No worries, we must get something figured out. :)

Yeah I was pretty surprised too, especially since I'm still in single channel mode which probably hurts performance considerably (except for WCG).
What other benches would you guys like to see? Still holding off a little on the benching, want to get this thing overclocked first...
Muhahaaaa.. yes!! It works! With a combined effort of particle's competent help ("Now you install ntune. It will freeze upon the first install - this is normal") :rofl: :clap: a lot of playing around with various ntune versions and their freaking driver files + a huge amount of my usual luck when it comes to hardware, here it is...

2,4Ghz ain't happening, the motherboard can't take it (thanks again to particle for helping). It's the same with his setup really, ~225 HTT is the limit on those Nvidia chipsets.

Not bad tho, it beats all my Intels (even tho the X5450 would probably be faster if I had Server 08 on it...) and is currently ranked #40 for the 1024M on hwbot :)
However, I may have a problem with the setup. Some benches are excrutiatingly slow, for example Cinebench performs very poorly. I have traced the problem to the memory subsystem having extreme latency issues (should be 5x less latency) and low throughput (should be 2x as high)

you´ve got 34 ghz in a single computer; really amazing!.. I had the hardware passion sleeping and this build was like an alarm clock awaking me in a sudden way!
ballparking: mobo: 350
cpus: 200
memories : 25 bucks per 2gb module ( he said he already had some ).. but he used 1gb sticks .
hdd: using one he had.
psu the same ( an antec which delivers 385w IIRC).
@j: have you seen any significant increase in electric power from the wall after the overclocking? how does it handle file compressing ? ( gzip, winrar, 7z or any of those)

Well yeah.. about 500€ in total, not counting the PSU, HDD, and "case"
Haven't measured yet, seems like HTT 220 won't pass prime anyway.. whether it's stable enough for crunching, we'll see. File compression will probably be slow due to the memory issue.
Wow. Nice- that's about $700 USD. Lot less than I was expecting.
What's this things output look like? (no matter what it definately has the wow factor.)
WCG has been running pretty crappy so far, it took 24 hours for some HFCC WUs. Like I said, something is definitely off.
