Damm i will buy one just becaus ehte IED plugs are sitting off the edge of the board like and inhel board.
I'm a just sitting and waiting on Newegg to get em'.
Should be any day now. I'm sure they are on their way to the Egg right now.
It was VERY tuff passing up the last 2 vendors this week.
I have a good feelings about the AN7. I think and hope Abit put everything into this board that they have learned all this time from the NF7.
Basically this board is the NF7 just more enhanced and tweaked.
Maybe new voltage regulators and a slight change in layout but the base core is the same.
I just keep checking and checking for it to show up. In a way I like waiting and suffering for the board.
It's so funny how nice hardware brings me to it's knees. :D
Your not the only one... im gonna move from my Soltek 75FRN2-L to the Abit AN7... this will be my FIRST Abit board.Quote:

I can't wait for one of the XS guys to run one through the paces and post results!Quote:

ClockedOut, i hope your first Abit board is a winner :toast:
I've been happy with all the Abit boards i've had so far but i was a little concerned when i got the NF7-S rev2.0 before anyone else had recieved one. :gulp:
Haha, now the guy who claimed to have an AN7 up and running at 250 MHz FSB said that his system crashed badly and that the AN7 most likely burned up. He said that he upped the FSB to 252 MHz and suddenly he smelt something burning and the system shut down.
Strange that all that happened when the other forum members insisted on some pics of the system running at 250 MHz FSB in sync mode. :stick: :D
I think either he really had the system running and something really burnt (although very unlikely ) or he just wanted to show off.
:toast:
I'm waiting for results as well, would like to get one if its a decent performer. However I'll wait for results to be posted here...

I don't have to have sex with small animals to know it's fun :comp10: :)
so, I'm not waiting! I know it will be fun
250 IS possible, i got my a7n8x to 240 primestable and i can even bench 3d at 250+ ... so with some more tweaks it could be possible... but i dont trust this guy either... his replies and the way he describes the things sound weird... i bet its a fake.
it could be possible that he has an a7n and maybe he could even boot at 250 but i dont think it was stable.
what cooling does he claim to have btw? water?
I'm completely stable at 262FSB 1:1 CPU Interface Enabled 2-2-2-7 at only 2v VDD, why would you doubt that this guy can do 250? I run 250x10 day to day on my NF7-S, completely fine.
xduckx, we should have you purchase and reship our abit products to us from now on :P
How aree you cooling you NB? Also which one of the voltage check points do you regard as more accurate? According to the spot on the pcb i'm running 1.95V whilst the reading from the pin says 1.78V.Quote:

I don't doubt that it's possible, but without any evidence I always first doubt it. That's it. If he can give some evidence of what he's talking about, that's absolutely OK. But we all know that it needs the hardware and the skills to reach 250 MHz FSB. I'm only a bit sceptic if someone talks about OCs without one screeny and without talking about any details.:rolleyes:Quote:

Is this worth the extra £30 over the nf7?? will be buying asap
I would say so. I own an nf7 myself, and I ordered this an7, so only time will tell for 100% sure.Quote:

its 5$ usd at excal...dunno what that is in pounds or w/e. but 5 bucks sure as hell is...the tools needed for a vdimm modd to 3.2vdimm already pays for the difference
Real curious about it's performance guys!!
Hope it's possible to disable this blackbox thing, don't need Abit to know what the hell i do to my hardware.
If it has all the multi's working at high FSB, it'll be under my Xmas tree i guess!! ;)
Mine will be here thursday hopefully. Also, screenies dont show anything :). Check out this screenshot from my nf7 :D

Obviously I faked it but it goes to show ya that even screenies arent very good proof :)
very well done to the naked eye, but clearly visible in photoshop ;)
You don't need PS. The older versions of CPUZ screw up FSB readings like that... :D

I can POST up to 275FSB, but my memory can't handle it. ;)
Sorry xDUCK,
I think you got me wrong! ;)
Of course I believe that you already did 260 MHz FSB and more, because you have clearly given the evidence and you also talked thoroughly about every detail, when you were asked about it.
I was referring to the guy in the hardwareluxx forums, when I made my comment. He only said that he was running the board at 250 MHz FSb without details and without any screenies to back up his boasting.
And all I can say is respect for the 260 MHz FSB that you already showed running stable! :toast:
xduck you really need to crack the 4gb/s ! with the right cpu it shouldnt be a problem, you just need the 10x multi or higher
BUT you have to be aware that your board is something really special and only 1 of 1000 boards ocs that nicely...
come on, he didnt even post a screenie! i really dont think its true.
It is now available at NewEgg.:)
Someone buy it fast we need to know what this thing is capable of. :DQuote:
