I have been asked to post up a little insight about how i have been getting on with this pump top. On First impitions of getting it out the box, it's really well built and the rubber oring's on the side to stop vibration look really well thought out.
After tooling around with it for a few day, getting it set up with two DDC -1's (Pro - Blue Impeller) And getting a test loop setup. I set up with two loops, one a cpu, with a Alphacool 360mm Radiator and EK Supreme. With the second loop with a TFC Xchanger 240mm Radiator, EK 8800GT GPU full cover WB, EK Mosfet WB and separate North-bridge - South-bridge block also made by EK. I was'nt planning in doing a full review yet, as a few as of my test bench hardware problems, witch is a different story which I'm not going to bore you with.
I just wanted to see how noisy it is, (Pump Noise and Vibration Noise) and Bleeding time, So i'll start with the bleeding, as the cpu loop is very small, it took only 30 minutes to bleed, with only a few bubbles left, While the longer loop took 3 hours. On watching it bleed, i could see why it was taking it's time. The bubbles was coming straight into the Res, round the curved Acrylic Part, and straight Round the loop again with minimal bubbles being collected in the res. With ones that did going down the cpu loop, Which was a tad bit annoying.
With Time on my side and 3 hours later it was all clear, but from my point of view to make it better i would of divided the whole area off into two separate sections with a fill port on both sides. In doing that the res would bleed quicker and you could run serial pump loop with this product.
Another thing i would say while watching the product is flow, from Main board and GPU loop was getting sucked into the CPU loop putting strain on the Main loop pump and restricting the flow. This is not scientific, and may not be by very much, and only proper tests will show this. With time a decent review will be made.
Now on to the noise, I'll start with vibration noise, With the way my test bench 5.1/2 bay is setup i could only mount with the bottom hole on each side, meaning the top of the res was touching the rack as it leans in as it gets higher. However there was not actual vibration or vibration noise and if so very minimal from what i can see and here, again thats nothing scientific you just how i see it.
Pump Noise, well noisy, two pumps next to each other with a dvd drive below and a res above, makes the sound echo and bounce around making it very loud, and compared against them running out side apart it is much louder. But i can't tell you how much louder it is, as this is just quick view of it. With all the above in mind it's great for a one pump setup with small to medium loop, if space is tight and you only have room for a double res in your drive bays, but if you are about performance like most of us here, i would go for a Cycider res, by Alphacool, koolance or EK along With A EK or XSPC DDC pump top.
But a great job XSPC, Perfect, for the person who just want average setups and dos'nt care to much, but it could do with some tweacking, and when i do my finally review i will put these ideas forward to him :).

Thanks for the preview Bentley. I was looking at using this for a dual loop and I think I'll hold off on this. Hopefully XSPC will make a revision or a split version soon. It really boggles my mind that they didn't do this in the first place.

Sorry to bring up a month old thread, but I'm really interested in seeing if anyone had done any before/after comparisons with temps on this res? :confused:
I'm seriously considering getting it, but only if I can expect better temps changing to this res with a dual loop setup compared to my current single loop setup.
HI ! The best way to use this res is :
Res -> pump1 -> blocks -> rad 1 -> res -> pump2 -> blocks -> rad2
It sounds like an alternative series setup. the flow &pressure lost during the 1 loop are boost by the 2nd pump when and where it need.
I agree with hardcore users when they said 2 true separate loops are better to win few degrees. but I like shared res. the integration is easy and you gain benefit with all your available rad when your GPU's are not load.
About vibration, i always use elastics for my hard drive, pumps, and now this res/pumps too = no noise.
I use it with 2x DDC 3.2 18w and it's a crasy powerfull system with good temps (+honorable wc parts of course)
At least i think it s a good product, may be a separate (isolated) chamber revision would be nice but it's not a prb for me.

After many emails and forum requests we decided to make a split chamber version of our popular Dual Reservoir for Laing DDC pumps. We also made some improvements to the anti-vibration mounts and the reservoirs now ship with two brushed aluminium faceplates. The original model is now discontinued and will be replaced with the split version and a new model for single pump setups. I will upload some more product photos as soon as I get back from i37.

I just ordered this but got the one w/o divider. Sidewinder didn't have one with a divider, but I figure if I do it right my temps shouldn't be too different anyway :)
I've got the single res version as well. But I did notice a 3* temp difference between loops, with the CPU loop being that much cooler. Works for me. :)Quote:
